Our large family had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas at this lovely home. This is a modern clean home with lots of conveniences and entertaining options. The kitchen was well equipped with more than we needed and we also used the grill. Is nicer in person than the pictures show. The setting on the river is beautiful. The nights were chilly so we enjoyed both fire pits. The pool table room was a big hit. Gwendy the host was kind and quickly responded to some questions I had prior and while at the property. We all agreed that we would love to come back.
We stayed at River Run from 11/27 thru 12/1/24. This was a family vacation with my husband and myself , our children and grandchildren. The home is spacious and inviting, and is thoughtfully designed with beautiful furnished spaces inside and outside. It is three levels with a master on the main level, a queen bedroom and bedroom with bunk beds on the lower level, and a queen bedroom and second bedroom with two fulls on that level, which nicely accommodated our family of 11. There were beautiful full bathrooms on each floor and an additional half bath on the main level. The screened porch on the main level was furnished with multiple seating areas, and the porch on the lower level had swings, seating, and a ping pong table, not to mention the game room on the upper level with a beautiful pool table. The view from the main level includes the beautiful river and you can hear it from the porch. There are two fire pits outside- one in the upper lawn and one beside the river, both with chairs for outdoor gatherings. There are stairs from the house down to the river, and a trail that also leads down by the river. The trail is beautiful for hiking, and on 2 days I took the trail to the right of the house for a great hike. There is much attention to detail in the design and it is obvious that much thought was put into the comfort and convenience of the guests who visit this beautiful home. The host was very gracious and available for questions and concerns. We had no complaints and recommend this home. It is a wonderful retreat, and is private, but there are things to do nearby if you desire to leave the house. We enjoyed it very much!
From the owner: "Dorcus, we are so very happy that you and your family enjoyed some wonderful time together at River Run! Thank you for such a beautifully written review of our home. It is nice to see it through the eyes of our guests. We welcome you back anytime. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours."
The home is in a beautiful location and is well equipped. We enjoyed the pool room the ping pong table and corn hole - we also fished the river which is steps away from the home. The home is very clean and the neighborhood quiet. The host was very responsive to our questions. We would stay again at this property.
Home is in a beautiful part of Hayesville NC - the river view was fabulous, and we fished the river each day there. Home is fully equipped and plenty of space. Very clean property and host is easy to communicate with. We all enjoyed our time there.

From the owner: "It was a pleasure to host you and your crew, Richard! We are so glad that you enjoyed fishing and a bit of college football on Saturday! We too love watching the games on the side porch. Thank you for taking such good care of our home, and we would love to welcome you back in the future."
River Run was perfect for our large family. We thoroughly enjoyed the large gathering spaces on the porch for games, relaxation and great conversation. We loved floating the river on tubes —perfect weather. The pool table, ping pong table, and corn hole are always a big hit with our family. Having TVs available in all the gathering spaces, even the porch, was fabulous as we always gather to watch college football -Roll Tide & Go Vols!! The kitchen was big enough for meals & we had dinner out one night at Black Dog in downtown Hayesville which accommodated our group of 11 that night. We will definitely be back at this home in the future!!!
