Pest problems
1/5 The property furnishings and location were great. The bedrooms were spacious and the living room, dining room were as well.
The house was less than a 1/4 mile from a grocery store, bakery and 3-4 restaurants.
There was a step that was slanted and painted black at the entrance which we had to be careful not to misstep. The house next door was dilapidated and the curb side appeal was not great- the landscaping was poor and the exterior of the house needed painting and/or power washing. We did not go out the back door as it was over grown and offered no great view.
We discovered rodent droppings on the kitchen counter top on the first day after we had checked in. A saran wrapped scone we had bought and left on the counter was eaten through while we were out for dinner.
The property manager was excellent and took our call about the rodent issue. She said she would send pest control the following morning, but we felt that the problem could not be handled in a timely manner. Setting out traps may have or may not have captured the rodent (s) and anything left outside the refrigerator may have been compromised. We did not feel comfortable so left the next morning.
The following morning, we discovered a roach crawling across the dining room carpet.
Had there not been the pest problem, it would have been a great property.

Great stay for swim competition!
5/5 A great house and location for our swim competition at the GAC! Clean, cozy and close to everything we needed. Walking distance to local restaurants and a grocery story. Cute revitalized neighborhood. We saw people walking their dogs, families in their yards. It felt like a safe, normal neighborhood. House had everything we would need for the week (including a washer and dryer— important for us!) and the host was responsive to all of our needs. Will definitely stay here again.
