  I wish we would have read the review that was posted shortly after we booked. It was 100% accurate. Yes we knew the rate, we knew we booked a partial week and we knew the "apartment" was dated. WE were advised no pets on the furniture. We were a bit concerned sitting on the sofas as well as the beds. The place could be fixed up a bit with even thrift store furniture and not stuff that looks like it was picked up off of the curb! Could barely fit in the shower, it was so small. No where to even put soap. The bathroom paint job looks like they painted over dirt. The listing said "includes towels"; as the last reviewer said, his (and our) dog towels are in much better shape. Don't bother to lead one the wrong way with this amenity. The dryer had sand so did not want to use it. We actually left a day and a half early and found an awesome hotel for less $$. The overall condition was pretty poor. The outside was almost as bad. I reached out to the property manager and asked if he would refund the 1 day since we left Saturday and paid till Monday with my word I would not write a negative review. Guess what Radio Silence. Asked for the owners contact info and no response. So this review is compliments of Joel, the property manager!

• Emerald Isle stay

  Location was amazing along with the little bits of ocean view. Neighborhood nice. The apartment itself was clean but in need of some fixing up. I am giving 4 stars because when we arrived it was just a bit confusing as to which entry in the apartment was ours so we couldn’t get in right away because we were trying the wrong door. We were fortunate that our neighbor in the apartment arrived back as we were trying their door. They also said they were confused when they first arrived. We also ran out of toilet paper and I feel that should be something that you have ample supply of when paying the price we paid.

  Our host did get in touch with us in a timely manner when we couldn’t get into the C apartment.

  The house was conveniently located for beach access..also close to stores, restaurants, and groceries.worked very well for a short stay. The kitchen was a bit scant ,so glad we didn't plan on cooking.otherwise we enjoyed our time together and the beach getaway.

  The price and draw is the location and they allow dogs. It is directly across the street from the beach entrance. However, there are no other redeeming qualities. It’s extremely outdated which gives a dingy feel. Everything has rust. There are two “in wall” AC units but it was so hot no matter how much we turned it down or closed the bedroom door. The furniture is clearly from a random estate sale. I would have been scared to cook. The shower was extremely small and was either hot or cold. The towels were worse than what we use for our dogs. We couldn’t check in or even park early due to “cleaning” however when we arrived there was dead spiders on the floor. I hate to leave a poor review but quite frankly, I’m a little irritated we paid so much. This property is an excellent example of why people are leaving A*rb*b/Vrbo.

  Owner’s Response: “Hi Mariah, we couldn't allow you an early check-in or late check-out because this is our busy season. When you attempted to extend your 2-night stay, we needed time to clean and maintain Hannah's Place for all our guests during the July 4th weekend. Before you arrived, we took photographs of Hannah's Place. The AC thermostats were 68 degrees, there was no rust, the furniture was nice, the towels were professionally cleaned and fluffy. The shower has a full range of temperatures and is a decent size for one person. The kitchen is perfect for our three guest maximum occupancy, and there were no dead spiders on the floor. Hannah's Place is also competitively priced and we allow guests a 2-night minimum stay. The traditional property management companies on Emerald Isle only offer a 7-day stay with much higher rates and they refuse most pets. Hannah's Place is 30 yards away from beach access, where you can see the ocean and hear the waves on the shoreline. We are on a quiet part of the beach, ideal for families, but close enough to the town center for convenience. We provide free linens and towels, two grills (gas and charcoal), free access to Netflix and Sling, and a beach wagon with beach chairs and a beach umbrella. We look forward to future guests that desire a wonderful time at our beautiful Emerald Isle beach!”
