- From Sylva: Take NC-107 South toward Cashiers, turn right onto Pine Creek Road, turn left onto Taylor Creek Road (easiest route, scenic with waterfalls)
- From Brevard: Take US-64 West to Cashiers, turn right onto NC-107 North, turn left onto Pine Creek Road, turn left onto Taylor Creek Road
- From Highlands: Take US-64 W/Franklin Road-Highlands Road (Mountain Waters Scenic Byway) toward Franklin, turn right onto Walnut Creek Road, continue onto Pine Creek Road, turn right onto Taylor Creek Road (scenic and waterfalls). Alternate route-take US-64 East to Cashiers, turn left onto NC-107 North, turn left onto Pine Creek Road, turn left onto Taylor Creek Road
- From Franklin: Take US-64 East/Highlands Road toward Highlands, turn left onto Walnut Creek Road, continue onto Pine Creek Road, turn right onto Taylor Creek Road
- From Pine Creek Road entrance, take gravel road straight, go past the first road to the right and the second road to the left and continue straight, take the fork in the road to the right. 689 Taylor Creek Road is a short distance straight to the left. It is the only concrete paved driveway

CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS:
- Check in after 4:00 PM
- The home is accessible via keyless entry. The code will be the last 4 digits of the primary phone number used on your Evolve reservation
- There is a lockbox with an emergency key if neccessary
- Turn on lamps/front porch party lights by pressing button on the white control module
- Please inform the Guest Contact of any problems or concerns upon arrival, so we can work to address these immediately

CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS:
- Check out before 10:00 AM
- Return key to the lockbox if removed
- Prior to your departure, please tidy up the cabin
- Place all soiled towels and washcloths in the hall bathtub
- Remove and place all used bedsheets and pillowcases in front of the washer/dryer
- Leave bedroom comforters, blankets, pillows, decorative pillows, and shams on beds
- Wash all dishes and put them away
- Discard or take all personal food and drink items in cabinets, refrigerator and freezer
- Throw way all perishable items and trash in a plastic trash bag
- Dispose all garbage into the container outside the cabin when you depart
- Do not throw loose trash in the outside trash can. This includes plastic bottles,
cans, pizza boxes, or car trash. All trash must be in plastic garbage bags.
- Do not leave trash outside of the container because it will attract bears and animals
- Leave gas logs pilot light on.
- Turn off all lights, electronics, and appliances
- Turn off lamps by pressing the button on the white control module
- Leave the two exterior motion lights turned on
- Close and lock all windows and doors. Lock the sliding door latch and foot lock
- Put all moved furniture, air mattress, air pump, games, etc. back in place
- Additional fees will be imposed if the cabin is found in an unsatisfactory condition,
including throwing loose trash in the outside trash can.
- Text Billy if your check-out is earlier than 10:00 AM. This will help our cleaning team

HOUSE RULES:

INTERNET SERVICE:
- The internet is STARLINK satellite service. Bandwidth speeds will vary
- If the internet WiFi is not connecting to your cell phone or TV, turn the surge protector off and back on. The surge protector is located in the living room under the TV table. This will rest the WiFi connection

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- The property requires stairs to access
- Cell phone service is limited in the mountains. The cabin has cell service, but use WiFi calling for better reception

TV VIEWING INSTRUCTIONS:
- Use Roku remote to turn TV on/off
- Use Roku remote to control TCL soundbar volume or TV volume
- Please do not switch HDMI cables, change TV picture/volume setting, or remove Apps
- Please do not switch Roku remotes. Remotes only work with designated TV
- Watching TV works better when all cell phones are turned off because of limited internet bandwidth. Too many items pulling from Wi-Fi may cause the TV signal to spin or disconnect
- Sign in to your Netflix, Prime Video, Disney, or other App. Please sign out of your account at check out
- TCL soundbar remote can be used to pair soundbar Bluetooth with your phone

CELL PHONE SERVICE:
- Cell phone service is spotty once you start driving up the mountains. The cabin is equipped with a cell phone booster antenna that provides service for any carrier
- Cell range is throughout the cabin and porch/deck
- Turn your phone on/off to pick up signal
- Switch your mobile phone to Wi-Fi calling for better phone reception

GAS LOG OPERATION AND INSTRUCTIONS:
- Turn on the gas logs by pressing the timer buttons located on the wall to the right on the fireplace. Press the 30 Min., 60 Min.,120 Min or Off button. The gas logs will turn off automatically when the time ends or manually by pressing the Off button.
- The gas logs pilot light shall remain on at all times unless there is an emergency or malfunction. Guests are NOT allowed to touch the gas logs controls (other than the timer), re-arrange the gas logs, cook or roast marshmallows over the gas logs, turn on the pilot light, turn off the pilot light, or turn the gas valve on or off unless there is an emergency or malfunction of the gas logs
- If the pilot is off, call Billy at 252-290-1408 for instructions on how to re-light the pilot
- Two carbon monoxide detectors are installed in the cabin for safety

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:
- When cooking, turn on ventilation fan by pressing the fan symbol on the microwave. Cook on low or medium heat. Cook meat or other foods that generate smoke on the back burners with the ventilation fan running. Use the Lodge cast iron pans for cooking meats and eggs. Gas ranges generate higher heat than electric ranges. Not following these instructions will cause the smoke/carbon monoxide detector in the living room to go off. In the event the detector goes off, open the sliding glass doors, front door, or kitchen window and the detector will turn off after 3-5 minutes
- Clean cast iron pans with mild dish detergent and water with handled scrub brush, square chain, plastic scrubbers, or stainless-steel wool, dry with paper towels, and re-hang. Do not put cast iron pans in the dishwasher. Do not let air dry

SMART CABIN:
- The cabin is a smart cabin with front door lock/unlock control, outdoor cameras, indoor motion sensors and water leak sensors, thermostat control, lamps and porch string lights control, smoke & carbon monoxide alarm, crawlspace motion sensor, and water main shut-off control. Please do not remove or tamper with any of these items
- Adjust the thermostat per your comfort level
- Use the module button to turn on lamps (instead of pull chain) and porch string lights
- Unlock/lock door per instructions

INCLEMENT WEATHER:
- Power outages can occur during strong storms caused by rain, snow, or ice. This is typical in the mountains. In the event of a power outage, the gas logs and gas stove/range will operate. The well pump will not operate during a power outage
- Please be aware of possible inclement weather and road conditions. Weather in the winter months can be very unpredictable as you may encounter snow and ice. During such times, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended. Snow chains are not allowed to be used while driving on the concrete driveway. They can be used while driving on Taylor Creek Rd. which is a packed gravel road
- Use Cashiers, NC or Glenville, NC on your local weather app to check the weather for the cabin area. Temperatures are usually much cooler in the mountains
