We stayed in the upstairs apartment and had a stunning view of the Black Mountain range from the deck as well as inside the living area. Spent a lot of time relaxing and enjoying the view. The apartment had everything we needed with plenty of space for the two of us. We fixed breakfast in the kitchen every morning and got takeout for several other meals. Just enjoyed our meals in this beautiful. serene setting. Hope to return some day.

We've stayed at this home several times now. Love the view of the Black Mountain ridge right from the living room and deck! Everything was as expected. Easy check-in, all appliances worked, nice hot water for showers...plus the peace and quiet of staying in the mountains.
Burnsville is 10 minutes away north on 197. Or head south on 197 toward Barnardsville for several nice trails in the Pisgah.
We'll likely stay here again!
I enjoyed the beautiful setting of this site. The porch was lovely, and the bird feeder was a nice touch to enjoy the space even more. I had a chance to take leisurely walks around the area each morning and loved that way to settle into my day.
There were several details about the reservation that I would have hoped the hosts would make clear prior to booking:
One, there is about a 1-mile drive up a gravel hill to reach the property. This may not be a problem for some vehicles, but I could imagine it would be for smaller vehicles, especially perhaps in rainy weather.
Second, the checkout instructions were quite extensive. While I am no longer surprised by requests to strip beds or make sure the dishes are washed, I was not expecting to be asked additionally to wash and dry a load of towels the day before I left or to drive the trash to a waste site a few miles away. While the hosts explained the reason for these rules, I would have liked to know ahead of time, especially since I was borrowing a car.
Finally, the listing indicates that WiFi is available but guests are asked to not download or stream movies due to WiFi data limits. Again, this may be a valid request, but one that guests would likely prefer to see prior to booking.

The house was beautiful! We loved the fact that it is pet friendly. Our dogs are terrified of fireworks, so we wanted a place that would be quiet and no fireworks for New Years Eve. We got just that! The location is good. It was only about an hour from Asheville so we went to the Biltmore. There is a wood burning fireplace and as cold as it was, we definitely took advantage of that. The view from the porch was amazing at anytime of the day or night. I would definitely stay again.

The view was great, road late at night with no lights was a little scary the first 2 nights after I just got used to it.
