    This house is gorgeous with the most amazing views. It is very spacious and can accommodate large families. The parking is not great, especially when we were there and they had city workers taking up the entire road and driveway so we had to walk down the street, but that was out of anyone's control. It could have been a little cleaner but again, not terrible. A few daily used things were broken but the communication with the owner was amazing. Overall it was a nice house to get away in. We didn't have time to enjoy all the amenities but my kids loved the pool, but you have to go earlier in the day otherwise it turns into a party later.

  • Not cleaned upon check-in / cleanliness was poor

    When we arrived there were dirty sheets and towels in each room that had been used prior, the bottom floor's carpet was wet/smelled like mildew and had a commercial grade fan aimed at it to dry it up so at least somebody knew about it prior. Stains all over most of the 2nd/3rd story down carpets. I contacted the host about the sheets and towels and the next morning she sent the cleaning personnel and said "we'll leave you guys a gift card too, sorry about the inconvenience" and while they did clean the unit, no gift card. I don't really care about the gift card like that, but kinda weird they said that and then didn't follow through. Overall, kinda wish this didn't cost as much as it did because we wound up basically cleaning the entire house before the cleaning personnel came. Won't stay here again but the Tan-Tar-A area is amazing!

  • Unfortunately disappointed

    The gate code that we were given, did not work, or the pool gate code did not work either. When we text the house to let them know, we were told that that’s the only code they have.

    When we got there, there was a fan going on the lower level on the floor and it smelled like mildew. We immediately text the whole and was told they would send someone out, but no one ever came. The smell kept getting stronger the whole time we were there.

    - We’re reviewing gate access to ensure entry is seamless for future guests.
    - The lower-level odor was related to recent heavy rainfall, and we’re addressing this with drainage improvements and updated flooring.
    - Our cleaning team has been instructed to take extra steps to keep the space fresh and comfortable until the long-term solution is complete.

  • Better to stay at a hostel

    This place was dirty. Stained pillows, bathtub disgusting, rusted showers, stained floors, rando dirty cooler that took all the freezer space- we didn’t even touch that. and spider webs in all the rooms. No other open locations or we would have left but traveled for family gathering from all over country. Thankful we were able to eat out. Took many photos to prove we weren’t cause. Skip this house (we rented the entire house).

    Hi Dennise, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    - We've addressed your cleanliness concerns with our cleaners and asked that they double-check these items to ensure our high standards are being met consistently.
    - We apologize for the stained pillows and we're purchasing additional pillow protectors and pillowcases to prevent this in the future. The previous guest removed the pillow covers, and they were unfortunately not ready for a same-day turnover.
    - The shower door in the kids' room does have some rust. We acknowledge this and plan to replace it, though the timeline is uncertain due to budget constraints.
    - We recently replaced the flooring upstairs and are planning to update the flooring in the lower two levels during the off-season.
    We appreciate your feedback and are committed to ensuring a great experience for all our guests.
