• Insect infestations, unsafe for humans

  House was bug infested and filthy. There were various insects, spiders, ticks and wasps living INside the house and dead counterparts scattered across every surface. Webs, dirt and debris everywhere. Clearly neglected and not cleaned or cared for in a long time. It was unsafe to stay and we had to leave, but owner and host company told us the insect infestation was a “minor issue” and we were refused a refund beyond the small cleaning fee. We’ve never had a VRBO experience so disgusting or upsetting. The house is not up to basic human health and safety standards.

  - The home was cleaned just before your arrival, and as soon as you reported concerns about insects, the cleaning team returned to address the issue immediately. Since it was Labor Day weekend, we were unable to rent our property out to another guest.
  - The cleaning team reported they found no sign of ticks or wasps inside the home. However, they took extra care to vacuum thoroughly, especially along edges, to ensure that all areas were refreshed.
  - As this property is near the lake and surrounded by nature, occasional insects can be challenging to control, especially in the summer. The home is treated regularly for pests to keep them at bay, and we take any issues with cleanliness very seriously.

  The home was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness. I suppose the only downside was the driveway as we were on motorcycles. It was very steep and difficult to navigate in the dark. The house itself was incredible. It was clean and beautifully decorated.

  My family and I had a wonderful vacation. The house was perfect for our group. It was very clean, the dock was a blast to hang out on. It was in a great location close to many restaurants. I would highly recommend.

  Great location, swim dock is really nice for kids! Really a perfect set up for a lake getaway! Plenty of room.
