Wilderness Bay Get Away
5/5 We were looking for a quite little place to get away from work for awhile and this was just what we needed. We brought our own kayaks and enjoyed taking them out on the lake right by the cabin. The weather was perfect, the water was clear and the cabin was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the peace and quiet tranquility of the place. We hope to come back again someday.

Hidden Gem- throwback to northern MN resorts of our youth
5/5 We landed at Wilderness Bay Resort because Itasca was full over Memorial Day weekend. It exceeded our expectations big time. The cabin was CLEAN, like spotless, and had all of the basics we needed. The dock was visible from our front window, where we watched our kiddo fish and catch fish after fish (northern, bass, blue gill, sunfish). The bay was crystal clear, and small enough to paddle around with the kids. This resort was PERFECT for our small family- a beach, swimming, fishing, bonfire, swing set, live bait for fishing, and a frozen pizza at the small resort store for a rainy night (plus, freezies for the kids!). The owners were attentive, communicative, and downright lovely people. We will definitely be back again!
