We booked through VRBO for July 12-19, & set my filter for six adults, & this property kept popping up. The owner of the property actually called me, saying that he saw we had 6 adults, & didn't know if we really understood the layout & or accommodations. In conversation with him he had said that they've had seven people there before. We had 6 adults. I was told the place was approximately a 1,000 square.ft., which the place right next door was listed for sale & was actually 624 sq.ft., same size unit. I was told there was a queen sleeper in the living room, a queen bed in the 1 BR on the 2nd. floor, a queen bed in the "loft", & twin mattress in 'sleeping niche'. The so-called "loft" was a queen mattress in a 'cubby hole' that was as wide as a queen mattress, & side walls 2.5ft on either side and approx 4 ft high at the peak of the ceiling. A vertical metal ladder was used to access the 'loft', &was the hottest space in the house. While it was 75 in the rest of the house, it was well over 88 to 90 in the loft. We checked out after 24 hrs, owners were emailed, & seeked other accommodations & left, after doing everything on the checkout list. Upstairs 1/2 bath was extremely small & difficult for anyone to use. Also with limited space in the kitchen cabinets due to owners 'stuff', we had to leave our food, snacks etc on top of kitchen counters, refrigerator, & table.

From the owner: "Hi Scott, I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and I’d like to address a few points to ensure there’s no misunderstanding. When you first booked, we let you know the home might feel too small for six adults, and we even offered a full refund at that time. We have stayed there with seven guests ourselves, but that included three children. The property description clearly mentions that the loft access is by ladder, and we explained that to you directly before your stay.
As for the kitchen, all cabinets were replaced and expanded just last year, and we haven’t received any similar concerns from other guests. Our personal belongings aren’t kept there during the summer months. I’m also not sure where the 1,000 square foot number came from—our listing and records show 624 square feet, and we would have gladly clarified that if asked.
After your visit, we offered either a full refund or another week of your choice with a smaller group. We truly strive to give guests more than their money’s worth and do everything possible to make their stay enjoyable. If there’s something else we could have done differently, we’d genuinely like to hear it so we can continue improving."
The location and oceanside portion was great. However the bed needs to be upgraded because it is very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. It also loudly creaks every time you turn over. It caused us both to have back problems all we weekend. We were also told that we could park our boat trailer in the parking lot but found out that that is strictly prohibited in the subdivision when we got there so we had to pay $45 to park it 20mins away in a storage facility. terrisleep.

Hi Hila, we shared your review with the homeowner, who provided the following response:
-We apologize for any misunderstanding. When we spoke upon your arrival, we mentioned that you could either back the boat trailer into space by the shed or park around the circle as you pulled in. The paid parking option was simply an additional choice, as it was located near the boat ramp for easier access. We are not familiar with the storage facility you mentioned, but the ramp five minutes from our property also offers parking.
-Regarding the mattress, we chose a firmer option based on feedback from most of our guests who prefer it. However, we will certainly consider a different mattress if we receive more feedback, as guest comfort is our priority. As the owners, we’ve personally used the mattress multiple times and have always found it to provide a restful night's sleep.
We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall, and we hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again in the future.
My wife and i rented this place for a week. It was perfect for us. Right on the bay, only a few minute drive to everything OC. Owner seemed cool, our guest contact was cool. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended this condo if want to be away from from things to relax, but yet still close to everything.

Annie was very accessible. Property clean and easily accommodated family of 5. Sleeping nooks in wall were a nice touch. My kids loved. Crabbing off the back pier was fun and great location ti beach and grocery store.

No complaints. Place is small but it is vacation, it is okay to live out of your suitcase. Older condo, could use some updates but for a week or two it is more comfortable than a hotel. I really loved that there are two decks. My only negative is that there is no pool, but, we made due. There are other pools in the various condos around this one but we were not permitted to use, suggestion would be to work something out with all or one of the condo pools for guest at anchor harbor, even if the guest have to pay 20.00 or so for a week to use them. The whole week, we saw nobody in two of the pools and maybe 7 people in the pool across the bay from us.
