I’m not sure where to start, let’s start with cleanliness. - everything was sticky, Ants on the counter, mouse droppings on the “clean” towels. Spots and stains on the pillows and bedding. ( could have been laundry detergent but after the mouse droppings who knows). Smell- the smell was so potent that we immediately opened as many windows as possible, which was tricky considering 1/2 didn’t have screens. Comfortable- absolutely not. If you’re looking to relax and unwind pick somewhere else. The couch is a rock, the chair is a rock, and the beds are worse. We spent a lot of time on the porch but we had to steal the pillows from the beds to help cushion. The porch- that would have been a nice little relaxing spot if the screen was actually secured. It was missing an entire section, loose in other spots so the bees and wasps are all over the porch. We ended up laying on the porch because the rockers were so uncomfortable. Make sure you have a good 4x4 to access it. Don’t except to be the only ones there, you can see your neighbor, you can hear your neighbors. It’s like city living with some trees. Broken items- the toilet, lights upstairs only work by the pull downs located on the light. The light switches themselves do not work. The refrigerator sounds like it’s about the stop as does the coffee maker. The toaster actually was broken. And the water was not good. We had to go get drinking water. All in all it’s was definitely not worth what they charged.

From the owner: Hi Jessica, we are sorry we were not what you expected.
- We are a cabin in the woods but we do have neighbors so it's not completely remote. However, there are 87 acres of fresh air and mountain terrain, it's easy enough to get out and enjoy some peace and quiet.
- Most of our guests have loved the lumber rockers and chairs on the deck, they are quite comfortable.
- We apologize for the screen we keep up maintenance because of the squirrels who think it's nicer inside than outside.
- All of the furniture is in good shape and is very comfortable.
- We will check on the toaster we were not aware it was not working. But the fridge and coffee maker work great.
- We did come by and fix the toilet for you and asked if you wanted us to replace a part and you advised it was ok.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
The quaint cabin was perfect for me and my boyfriend. All essentials are already there which made it easy for us to cook and clean up after ourselves. The woods surrounding the cabin are beautiful and the hot tub felt amazing. There are two other cabins close to this one, which we did not know ahead of time. So for a hose seeking major seclusion, this would only be satisfactory if the other rentals were not booked. We would definitely return for another visit!

The Castle was the perfect getaway for two stressed women who needed to escape reality. The cabin was cute and very clean. The area was scenic and peaceful. The screened porch with rockers was wonderful for my coffee drinking. And the back deck was even better with the hot tub, the privacy, and the trees. It was everything we were looking for in a relaxing girls’ getaway. We would definitely stay again.

Firstly, I wish to say that the area is beautiful where the cabin is located. It was also one of the cleanest places we've stayed. It did not seem, however, that the cabin was ready for our stay in other ways. It was cold when we arrived, as it was a chilly day. Luckily, the heat worked great so that was quickly fixed. We had looked forward to using the hot tub, but, it also was cold and had to be warmed up for hours before we could use it. When we went upstairs to go to sleep our first night, we found 2 windows open in the bedrooms and had to close them before a storm came in. The beds slept fine. The property is lovely.
