This was one of the most wonderful stays we've ever had! We left our house later than expected. I let the hosts know, and they sent a sweet message letting us know the lights would be on for us and the best place to park. When we arrived, there was an absolutely gorgeous loaf of lemon cake waiting for us, along with a huge basket of snacks and treats. My teenagers were THRILLED about that! The place was decorated for Easter in the most adorable vintage Beatrix Potter kind of way (it was Easter weekend) and that added to the overall charm of the barn, which was already incredibly charming all on its own. Everything was absolutely immaculate! The kitchen was very well equipped, which we appreciated for dinner one night. The space was ample enough for our teenagers to have their own areas while my husband and I had plenty of space to read and wind down with a movie. The loft was so perfect for my teens, with the bathroom up there just for them. We only stayed two nights, but could have been comfortable there for many! The location felt "out in the country" but was really only about 10 minutes to the heart of the IU campus, which was so convienient, since we were there for a college visit for our son. We were so grateful for the hospitality and comfort and definitely plan on staying in the Barn anytime we're visiting Bloomington. Thank you!

It was the cutest place to stay. We loved the converted barn.

Our hosts had restored the beautiful barn on their property. We stepped into the barn and knew we would relax in the gorgeous space with vaulted ceilings, oriental rugs, and collections of antiques. This project was a labor of love and a desire to preserve a part of history! It has been created beautifully.
The decor was indeed perfect for the season. The kitchen and bath were very well equipped. The beds so comfy.
Attention was paid to the smallest of details for our comfort.
Our views were of autumn corn fields and we could walk up the lane and around the fields. I cannot say enough about staying here. Do not hesitate to rent.
We hiked in Brown County State Park. We walked all of downtown Bloomington where we enjoyed the wide variety of shops. We spent several hours in the Eskenazi Museum of Art on the IU Campus. What a treat for us to enjoy this area.
Best wishes to our hosts!
This house was a perfect fit for our family reunion in Bloomington. It was cute, clean, comfortable and the owners (who live next door) were extremely accommodating, helpful and friendly. Everything was as described and made for a wonderful visit. Our only issue was with the property management company handling the listing (Evolve) as they were not responsive (no phone number to call)to me and charged a "damage waiver" fee that they could not explain. The owners were extremely helpful in trying to resolve this.
