  There were 10 of us and we had an absolutely marvelous time The house couldn't have been more perfect for what we used it for. there was plenty of space, it was clean, it was roomie, absolutely perfect. there was places to walk around during our breaks we would definitely recommend it for anyone.

• Mountain Vacation

  The property was rented for the month of August and was adequate (but needed a through cleaning of windows, rugs, etc.) but was on an unimproved lot at the end of four miles of rough, dusty and unimproved road making access difficult.

  Upon arrival, grounds were overgrown with weeds Wifi

  was largely inoperable and TV periodically inoperable. The upstairs AC was not functioning. After approximately two weeks (Aug. 20) the owner corrected the AC & TV.

  The stay was further complicated by smoke from forest fires in the area closing all hiking trails & making other activities difficult & unhealthy.

  Hi Joe & Karen, we’re sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to clarify the following:
  - All rugs and windows were cleaned before your arrival, though the rain may have affected the appearance of the windows. The property features hardwood floors throughout, and rugs are placed at the doors for guests to wipe their feet. While they may not be brand new, they're clean and in good condition for their intended use.
  - The property is in a remote area, as shown on the map provided on the listing, offering a peaceful, rustic cabin experience. The unpaved road leading to the cabin is 1.1 miles from the nearest paved road. We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking to ensure they find a property that meets their preferences.
  - The grounds aren't landscaped as the home is designed to have a natural, cabin-like feel.
  - Intermittent Wi-Fi issues were caused by widespread fires in the area that affected the infrastructure. We responded promptly and provided another router to assist. Since then, we’ve switched to a Starlink system to ensure more reliable service going forward.
  - The TV issues you experienced were due to the poor Wi-Fi connectivity, which improved once the connection was restored. After your stay, we replaced all the TVs with brand-new smart models, and they're in excellent working order.
  - We replaced the A/C for the upper level the next day after your report to ensure you were comfortable for the rest of your stay.
  - Unfortunately, the smoke from the forest fires and subsequent closure of hiking trails was beyond our control. Fires can impact the area during this time of year.
  We work hard to provide an outstanding guest experience and look forward to hosting many satisfied visitors.
