Experience the island life at this luxurious 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom vacation rental condo in the Mahana at Kaanapali complex. With enough space to comfortably sleep 4, this ground-floor corner unit offers sleek granite countertops, a concierge, stainless steel appliances, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a furnished lanai with ocean views. Whether you're in town to lounge by the community pool and hot tub or deep sea fish in the Pacific Ocean, this is the ultimate Hawaiian home-away-from-home!
This corner condo is located on the ground-floor of the luxurious Mahana at Kaanapali complex. You have access to a multitude of fantastic community amenities including a pool, hot tub, shuffleboard, tennis courts, grills, beach access, and more. There is also an activities desk and concierge if you are looking for some recommendations on activities or places to eat!
While you're still on mainland time, drive just under 2 hours to watch the sunrise from the Haleakalā (East Maui Volcano) Crater. The Keonehe'ehe'e (sliding sands) Trailhead will take you on a fantastic trek around this state park where you will witness fantastic views of the island and learn about the natural environment.
If you're interested in angling in your dinner, make the 15-minute trek to sail out with Die Hard Sport Fishing. Captain Fuzzy and his crew are a group of no nonsense fishermen that are out there to make sure you reel in one of the beautiful mahi-mahi, tuna, and wahoos that populate the coast. Fish Maui is another excellent option if you're looking for a more lax fishing experience on the water!
Drive 12 minutes to play a game of golf at the Kapalua Golf The Plantation Course. This northern island course is a consistent host of PGA tournaments and offers 18-holes of championship-level golf with stunning views of the Kahauiki Gulch! The Ka'anapali Golf Course is a bit closer if you're looking for a change of scenery.
Other options for activities on the island include whale watching from mid-December to the end of March, scuba diving the reef, and exploring Old Lahaina Town. There are a variety of unique art galleries surrounding the town if you'd like to purchase a souvenir!
This is the best vacation rental property I've stayed in and made our first trip to Maui so memorable. There were so many reasons why that is, but below are the highlights:
VIEWS + LOCATION: The view out the large windows is absolutely breathtaking - full, uninterrupted views of the ocean. The condo faces west, so your mornings start dimly lit but end with the most breathtaking sunsets. The property is truly beach-front, it takes ~10-steps to sink your toes in the sandy beach.
CLEANLINESS + CLIMATE: The property itself was immaculately clean upon arrive and had everything we needed. Each living space has a fan and the air-conditioning unit does a great job keeping the condo comfortable, even with the sun beaming in late afternoon.
GROUP ACCOMMODATIONS: Our group consisted of 4-adults, with one couple sleeping on the living-room pullout couch and the other in the bedroom. We spent the vast majority of our stay out enjoying the beach, pool, and nearby shops but it felt a little tight when we were all trying to use the bathroom in the morning and night. The bathroom has a dedicated toilet + shower room, which was very helpful!
HOST COMMUNICATION: The Guest Contact, Charles, was phenomenal. He communicated with me through text before, during, and after our stay. I really appreciated that he texted me during our stay to check-in on how we were doing and send tips on how to keep excess sand out of the property. Charles provided fabulous hospitality.
GENERAL LOCATION: One regret my group had was not renting a car. We would have been able to do more during our stay if we weren't relying on Uber's the entire time (which is more expensive than we expected). Comparing the overall property to the other neighboring resorts, the amenities were fairly basic - there aren't waterslides, cabanas, etc. at the pool like the others. This was what my group preferred though, we didn't need the bells and whistles. Whalers Village is a great shopping area nearby, it takes approximately 10-minutes to get there. Within walking distance (~10-minutes) there is a big food truck block and grocery store, we walked and enjoyed meals there a few times. Pro-tip: Walk over to the food truck area in the AM and try the banana bread at the coffee cart, it was the best.
Condo is right on the beach with great access to the waves! Close to pool and nice sands down to the left a short walk. Great sunsets! Well appointed, comfortable, clean with water toys. Parking close to condo. Definitely recommend and would like to return.
The condo itself is in a great location. It’s very spacious and has everything you need. However, they have several units all around the condo that are being renovated. They start working around 8:00 am and you can hear hammering and drilling all day. You will hear the construction from the unit and at the pool. Your best bet to get away from the noise is to head to the beach. I wish the property management company would have been upfront about the construction. We never would have stayed there if they had informed us. When I messaged them to let them know, they said they were unaware. If they are managing the property, it’s their job to know. It’s kind of hard to miss if you pull into the parking lot. Before you book this unit I would ask them if there is still work being done and get their answer in writing. Loved the location, hated the noise.

Hi Christie, we're glad you enjoyed the beautiful location, but we're sorry to hear external factors impacted your stay. After going over your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following:
- We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but we sincerely apologize that the construction made your stay less enjoyable.
- After Covid, when things started to open back up in Hawaii, they started finishing the pre-Covid construction, and we weren’t allowed to have anyone in our building until May 2021. At that point, the construction moved to the other building.
- We don't live on the island and rely on our management team to keep us informed on updates like these.
- Recently, different units in our building have decided to redo their lanais, causing a lot of construction. However, last we were told the construction was moving away from our unit, and it wouldn’t interfere much with our condo.
- We're sorry for the inconvenience this caused. Now that we are aware, we will ensure that our guests are informed before their arrival.
We will continue to do all we can to provide the best possible stay for our guests!
The property and the room are very well kept. The room itself is so spacious and being on the ground level makes it steps away from the beach and pool. The property manager, Charles, is amazing to work with. He was able to accommodate a time that worked very well for us to check in and check out. The only thing I would have to mention is that there is a beach shower in front of this unit as well. So sometimes there will be other guests right in front of the unit rinsing off, so opening up all the blinds could be a little awkward. Otherwise, the property is not overly crowded and it was very quiet and relaxing.
