  We enjoyed our stay here. The place was a great stay for 4 of us. Very clean!! Parking spot up front is awesome. There is not an ocean view from patio, only a view of the right side of the pool and garden. Right bedroom has the ocean view. However, you are right on Carlsmith beach when you walk outside. The upstairs neighbors were very, very noisy, banging and slamming on the ceiling throughout all hours of the day and night, but that is not in the hands of the owner. No AC as the listing mentioned, however the provided fans and opening the windows were enough to keep us cool at night. Beach supplies (snorkels, masks, fins) and beach towels were provided. I would suggest more regular towels in general. The washer and dryer on the floor worked great, no issues, just pricey. The shower in the unit has great water pressure. The unit is in a great location, close by to the airport, town, and nearby beaches. The listing contact person was very nice and responsive to my questions prior to the stay. He did accommodate late checkout, but then declined it last minute, the last full day of our stay which was very, very disappointing. He said it was due to the owner scheduling an inspection, which was out of his hands he stated. That would be the only real complaint we had, as it messed up our last day plans. The pictures on the site versus the actual furniture were slightly different, it looked as if they improved the couch and patio furniture. I’d suggest adding 4 chairs on patio.

• Quaint place near beautiful beach

  We loved staying in this condo. It was very clean and well stocked. Very easy access to all of Hilo. The big plus with the beautiful beach right next to it. We had breakfast and coffee there several times and it was one of our trip highlights. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

• Place to stay; just ok

  The condo is basic, very basic. Definitely not fancy. Appliances are old. No a/c, which is ok, except--windows have to be open for any air circulation and the complex is noisy--can hear everyone at pool, above or below the unit, traffic and when we were there, construction. Advantages: very short walk to the ocean; close parking; 5-10 min to downtown Hilo.

• Located on a beautiful park

  It was very nice but be aware that there is no air conditioning. That worked fine for us but some people might not like it. The location is beautiful and very peaceful.
