  Beautiful location. Awesome beach park right across the road. Loved sitting on the lanai with my book and coffee every morning. Grounds were very pretty. Conveniently close to town but far enough to be quiet. Easy drive to the volcano.

• Lovely property, but management problems

  This property was exceptional in many ways. It’s across the road from a beach park with good snorkeling locations, and has a lovely lanai with a killer beach view. We loved the resident feral jungle fowl visitors. The untold amenities were water shoes in several sizes, and a clothesline for swimsuits and towels. Lots of condiments in the fridge, including ketchup, mustard, mayo, salad dressing and others.

  The management company, however, was less than stellar. It didn’t respond through the VRBO app at all. The property contact was equally unresponsive. The listing promised beach chairs, but there were none. The coffee carafe was cracked when we arrived, but, after two requests, was not replaced by the end of our visit. Also, we were unable to use the entertainment system. All attempts to connect to the streaming apps was met with an error message about the internet connection.

  Because of the location, I would stay there again, but would confirm that our issues had been addressed.

  Such a beautiful place to stay! Easy access. Close to everything. Clean. There are numerous positive reasons to choose this location.

  From the moment we stepped through the door, we were in awe. The home is absolutely beautiful and has all the amenities. The real show stopper is the deck that faces the ocean. Highly recommend this place!

• A Perfect Beach Home Getaway

  This beach home is truly the perfect place to stay—an absolute gem on the Hilo side of the island! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the seamless blend of modern amenities and island charm. The home is beautifully designed with all the comforts of home, including a fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and stylish, cozy furnishings that make it easy to relax and unwind.

  The beds were incredibly comfortable and I loved that I didn't have to take home a suitcase full of dirty laundry. But the real magic is outside: the front porch is a dream. We started each morning with coffee while watching the sunrise and ended the day playing board games and taking in the breathtaking sunset. It was a front-row seat to nature’s best show.

  Although it was hot outside, the cool ocean breeze blew through the large beach-facing windows, keeping us comfortable throughout the day and night. It made the whole space feel fresh and open.

  What we loved most was the location. You feel like you're tucked away in a quiet, secluded part of the island, but everything you could want is just 10-15 minutes away—great restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and golf. Plus, it’s centrally located between iconic destinations like Rainbow and Akaka Falls, making day trips easy and convenient.

  And the best part? The beach is literally across the street, offering some of the best snorkeling we experienced on the Hilo side of the island. Crystal-clear waters, vibrant marine life, and no crowds—it doesn’t get better than that.

  This home is a rare find—peaceful, convenient, and simply a charm. For our next rip to the big island, we have no need to look for another place to stay. We will be back to the Hilo Oasis for sure!!
