  • Lots of potential

    Beautiful place with lots of potential. The street it’s on is quiet. Close to pier/shopping/dining area. The living room is big enough to seat a large group. The little tree house was the cutest and is suited for little kids. The owner stays next door and is a wonderful lady and was very kind and helped us with parking our additional cars in her driveway. The place is great for a large group and nicely decorated.

    However, here are few things to note that I wish I knew about this place before I booked :

    1. the front wall of the home has 8 big glass windows/door which is very beautiful but offers no privacy at night as there are no curtains or blinds.

    2. None of the bathroom doors have locks. It was an issue for us as we were a large group(not couples) sharing rooms.

    3. The beds were not the most comfortable and there was a mattress missing in the upstairs room.

    4. Though the place was clean, we did encounter roaches in the living/kitchen area.

    5. No toiletries are provided.

    6. The water pressure is quite low in showers.

    7. The big round table in the living area is not as sturdy - it has some paper stuffed under it to make it level/sturdy but it almost tipped over during our stay.. just be mindful of it.

    8. We felt like the steps leading to the upstairs room were steeper than a normal staircase.

    All that being said, I was offered a $100 credit for my troubles.

We’re delighted that you enjoyed the quiet location, proximity to the pier and shopping, and the spacious living room. It’s also great to hear that the little treehouse added charm to your stay, and I enjoyed being able to assist with your parking needs.

    We’d like to address the specific concerns you mentioned:

    Windows: The front glass windows are featured in the listing photos, and the house is situated on a quiet, dead-end street with minimal traffic for privacy.

    Bathroom Locks: Each bedroom is designed as a suite with an ensuite bathroom, plus there is a private powder room. We apologize if this setup caused any inconvenience.

    Beds: All beds are Purple mattresses, known for their comfort. Upstairs features two daybeds – one with a trundle, and the other with a storage drawer, which is part of the furniture design. No mattresses were missing.

    Pests: The house undergoes quarterly pest control, with additional treatments during hurricane season to counter rain barriers washing away. Unfortunately, palmetto bugs are common in the South, but if any are spotted, we always have pest control address it immediately.

    Water Pressure: We regret that the water pressure didn’t meet your expectations. We haven't encountered prior complaints but will monitor it moving forward.

    Table Stability: The large round table has a single pedestal for support. We’ll inspect it to ensure it remains sturdy and safe for future guests.
    Stairs: The house, built in 2019, meets all modern building codes. We appreciate your feedback on the stairs and will ensure guests are aware of the design.

    Toiletries: While we currently do not provide toiletries, we appreciate your input and plan to install shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers soon.
