First I’ll start off with the PROS:
-the house was nice with plenty of space and clean (no bugs/stains)
-location was very close to the mall/plenty of things to do
-Netflix/disney were included (logged in)
-twin beds were soft for kids, plenty of board games
-had plenty of renovations to house
CONS
-the grass was not maintained. Very tall.
-the backyard was fenced in, however, there were huge holes in the fence, and one side of the fence was missing. Not good if you have small dogs.
-One of the large eyes on the stove had a huge crack in it, and it did not work.
-the master bedroom bed as well as the other queen size bed were hard as a rock
-there was no pool in the neighborhood
-the website said there was $150 fee for pets, I was charged $250. And then when I asked why the owner said that it was an old listing online and that it was supposed to be $250 per dog.
-the shower on one side of the house had no door handle to use to get out
-the master bath had a very nice garden tub, however, when the jets turned on, it sprayed water all the way onto the walls
-there was no option of checking in early
-the dishwasher had a horrible smell
-there were several broken blinds
-the neighborhood was so so, the houses were very close together
I wish there was a place for me to post photos, but unfortunately I cannot.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback and for noting the cleanliness, convenient location, and thoughtful amenities such as games and streaming services. We also appreciate your recognition of the home’s recent renovations. We followed up with the owner, who would like to address the following:
- We’re sorry to hear about the lawn and fencing concerns. We’ve since arranged a new landscaping contract and are in the process of replacing the temporary fencing with a brand-new installation.
- Regarding the stove, while the other burners were operational, we understand the inconvenience and are working toward replacing it soon. We’ll also have the dishwasher and tub jets inspected to prevent future issues.
- Mattress comfort can be subjective, but we value your input and will review options to better accommodate a wider range of preferences.
- To clarify, the pet fee is correctly listed at $250 on the Evolve website. We’ll work to ensure all listing details are consistently updated across platforms to avoid confusion.
Your feedback is important in helping us improve, and we truly appreciate you staying with us.
Great location, easy access to shopping, dining, and the host was very nice. We definitely would stay here our next trip.

This was a nice house with some higher end finishes (marble bath, granite countertops, jetted tub and wood floors). Location was conveniently located to downtown Savannah. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the local area. The owner had space available for us to park our 26' RV and tow dolly.
The reason for the 3-star rating is two-fold. First, the property is poorly maintained. The dishwasher isn't working and there is a sign on the dishwasher suggesting if someone would like to fix the dishwasher, they could give it a try. Why not call a repair person or just replace it? There is a huge crack in the glass stovetop and the stove electronics were "glitchy". The owner admitted the stovetop has been in this condition since he purchased the house last year, but said it still works. I'm not comfortable using a 240v electric appliance in this condition. He suggested the rental company failed to mention it in the listing. Again, it should be repaired or replaced. The landscaping is nice; however, it is overgrown and not weeded. The fountain was filled with green, scummy water.
Second, the house was very dirty. This was not just something minor missed during the recent cleaning. It was more like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. Cobwebs everywhere, including on the kitchen counters. Hair on the toilet and in the bathtubs. Something that looked like toothpaste spray on the bathroom mirrors from someone brushing their teeth. Dryer vent was packed with lint (not just the lint trap, but deep in the vent). I could go on, but you get the picture. We contacted the owner whose response was, "thanks, I'll let the cleaners know for next time". But I paid FOR THIS TIME. We contacted Evolve and the owner did show up concerned he'd lose his cleaning fee. He did clean up somewhat to the point where we didn't walk out.
Again, this place has great potential if the maintenance and cleaning are resolved.
