  We booked the property for a family weekend. When we arrived we noticed that the electricity did not work in 2 of the bedrooms and the master bathroom. In addition the advertised coffee maker was missing parts so that we could not make coffee and there was no remote for the television. We contacted the host who was very polite and told us she would contact the electrician and bring over a coffee maker and remote first thing in the morning. We left for the beach at about 10:30 and and the items had not been taken care of. At about 4 pm we returned and the electrician had just arrived. We contacted the host regarding the other items and she said that they were ordering a new coffee maker and remote which never arrived during our 3 day stay. She did say that we would be credited for 1 nights stay due to the inconvenience. Which we appreciated,because things do happen. However it is now 3 weeks later and we have not received the credit. It seems that nothing we were told was true and they were just saying things to avoid conflict. Other items we encountered cockroaches and a small frog in the hallway and the A/C was not adequate for the space (not sure if that was related to the electrical problem). The host was very pleasant and apologetic but lied to us about the remedies to our problems. The location of the house was great and the space was laid out well, but I would not trust anything that the host tells you.

  Daughter getting married and decided to come to Savannah for her Bachelorette Trip gotta say it was a good choice. We loved every minute.

• False Advertising - not worth the price!

  No love! OVERPAID & v. disappointed. Between booking & arrival property went from "Very Good" to "Good" & we tried to cancel Neighborhood: is sketchy: the boat, wow. Next door, construction equipment in yard & run engines ALOT. Others put random junk (medicine cabinet, vacuum, etc) as close to property line on curb. Kids playing outside was quickly dashed as it was unsettling. Chose area due to midway between city and Tybee, don't pick one & drive. Cleanliness: for what we paid we expected very clean & fresh, we got was mostly clean and tired. When you feel like you're getting bait & switched, you notice dust bunnies, small bugs (dead), trash & crumbs under couch cushions, unwashed bar items, stained/mismatched towels, stained bed sheets, strong mildew smell in upstairs room. Misc: sleeps 6, only dishes/seating for 4; smoke detector missing in hall, electrical GFI issue so no bathroom outlets worked, outside lights didn't work, no lights in laundry room, bulbs out in bath, switch for fan broken, lack of comfortable seating, under deck smells, We contacted host on big issues but not all. Requested 25%/night rate reduction to get price aligned w/the VRBO condition. Evolve refused because we didn't nit pick ALL WEEK, which really just ruins your time & we chose to make the best of what we were stuck with to enjoy what we could about our trip (non flex timing due to class enrollment). Higher price = higher expectations and this place fell way short. OVERPRICED!

• Listing did not match reality

  Pros:

  The team was great at responding if we had any issues and the house was in a good location for everything we wanted to see.

  Cons:

  The outdoor space was unusable and filthy. The master bath had zero privacy and terrible water pressure.

  Found at least 5 dead wasps in the house (at least they were dead).

  Furniture in living room was uncomfortable and virtually impossible to get up from since everything was so low to the ground.

  No blinds or frosting on windows. Just sheer curtains so we had to be creative where we changed at night especially with a teenage daughter.
