  Overall our experience was ok. The home is nicely updated and comfortable. It took us the entire first night to figure out the HVAC system as they lock it into an ECO mode that will not allow you to reduce the temperature below 77/78. Not sure about you but that is a little toasty for us in the middle of summer. The property on site support persons for whom they provide to call if you need any assistance did not answer when we called and did not respond when we texted and e-mailed. So that was frustrating. Parking is another issue and half “fib” in the listing. Most evenings we could not find a parking spot on the street and had to park around the corner up another street. Not at all convenient for us as it was pouring rain every evening and we had to load/unload stuff into our car as we were in town for the Banana Ball Youth Baseball Tournament. Forget double parking to load and unload. The street is so narrow, one car blocks the entire street as people are parked lining both sides of the street. This is also what I consider a “transitional” area as there were more than a few questionable character roaming around this commercial/residential mix area. The toilets we’re pretty disgusting, as were the floors. Looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. I am assuming this is the same company used for local support, as they were of zero help. The washing machine is absolutely yucky and needs to be cleaned. Pulling your clothes out results in them getting covered in the black mold coating the entirety of the opening seal. Final piece of advice is around the television which did not function. Took a day to figure out cables for the speaker and TV were disconnected and/or moved so that we spent the first day without any functional TV for our son. Considering the substantial “Cleaning fee” assessed, the property management company is failing here miserably. We had to clean the place completely the second day and felt pretty unsure about the status of bedding and towels with the state of everything else. The property was cleaner when we left than when we arrived. Plus side - mattresses were comfy, but had a hard time sleeping wondering about the likelihood for bed bugs and other critters reflective of the cleanliness of the rest of the property.

  From the owner: Hi Anthony, firstly, we are sincerely sorry that you had an experience that did not meet your expectations. We truly strive for 5-Star ratings as indicated by 69 reviews received over 2 1/2 years operating this short-term rental, with 64 having been 5-Star ratings, along with five 4-Star reviews, all noting exceptional cleanliness. Needless to say, this is an extremely disappointing review, and we would have welcomed an opportunity to address all of your concerns and issues during your stay had we been made aware of them. We have had the same cleaning crew and management team since day 1, and they have been exceptionally responsive as noted in so many reviews. 
  
  Our property manager/emergency contact only received one correspondence from you during your stay, and that was a text message sent at 8:59 pm the night of your arrival. It was limited to the challenge with the HVAC settings. She promptly responded the following morning by 8 am with guidance and an indication that her message was read. She received no additional correspondence over the duration of your stay. 
  
  Our cleaning team has provided photo evidence of the home, post cleaning, from the 6th of July, just prior to your check-in on 9 July. Depicting the freshly mopped floors and overall state of cleanliness of the property, including all bathrooms and each of the bedrooms. Front-load washing machines are notorious for being difficult to keep the rubber gasket clean. We appreciate that feedback and will work to address that issue by replacing the gasket and placing clear instructions to keep the door open to allow it to dry out between washings.  
  
  We do appreciate the feedback regarding the thermostats. We will look to add detailed instructions on how to use Nest Thermostats. They are in no way locked down and can be easily adjusted to the temperature of your liking. They default to ECO mode with a high temperature setting of 76 degrees when the home is vacant between guests, but can easily be adjusted to your liking upon arrival.
  
  The parking description in the listing states that free street parking is available, however, does not guarantee a space in front of the house, although it is clear from the exteriors cameras that for most of your stay your car was parked directly in front of the house or on the opposite side of the street in front of the house. Unfortunately, parking can be challenging at certain times in a city like Savannah, so we do apologize that you had this experience. In 2 1/2 years, you are the first guests to express this frustration with parking, but we will do our best to be even clearer in the listing.  
  
  Your suggestion that the listing is intentionally deceiving in some way was not a fair comment, and ironic when you booked the home for two adults and actually spent the stay as one adult and two children. Our property manager would have welcomed an opportunity to address any and all of these perceived issues had she been given an opportunity.

  The house was beautiful! Both the owner and the property manager were accommodating and personable. The accommodations were first class! Savannah was great and lots of fun!

  Great home and location! Clean and the host was able to accommodate early check in. The location was great and close to some fun bars and restaurants. Perfect for a group of friends.

• Perfect girls trip!

  This house was a perfect fit for us 5 girls! We totally enjoyed our stay and had a great time in Savannah! I did have to call the property manager and she was super nice and very helpful. The house was clean, comfortable and adorable! It was decorated and remodeled beautifully. We all said it was a great pick and would definitely stay here again.
