Exceeded our expectations!!!!
5/5 We had a wonderful week at the Lazy Bear. 8 family members. The drive to the cabin was spectacular. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far away this is the perfect cabin. The mountain view is fantastic. Can’t say enough good things about this cabin. Thank you Joe for sharing this mountain paradise with our family.

Beautiful cabin
2/5 The cabin was beautiful, but not maintained very well. One of the features of the cabin we were most interested in was the outdoor fireplace. Unfortunately it didn’t work. Host said he was going to call the gas company but never heard anything else about it. The shower for the master bedroom was disgusting as it was covered in mold and mildew and the downstairs shower had hair in it. The host did issue a partial refund. There was no sanitizer for the hot tub and judging by the shower we skipped it altogether. Overall, for the price point I was extremely disappointed and had I not had family coming to stay I would have checked out, but we were all several hours from home with no alternate accommodations so we made the best of our time there.

Hi Jessica, the homeowner was surprised to read your review, as they're accustomed to providing outstanding guest experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
– The outdoor gas fireplace wasn’t in use over the summer, and when you mentioned it wasn’t working, the gas company was called immediately. We informed you they were scheduled to come out, and they completed the repair within 48 hours.
– Regarding the showers, as soon as you notified us of a cleanliness issue, we offered to have the cleaning team return that same day to address it. Although you declined, we still provided a partial refund to ensure you felt taken care of during your stay.
– The hot tub was fully sanitized after the previous guest, and multiple containers of sanitizer were available in the cabinet next to it. Additional sanitizer isn’t necessary, but we would have been happy to guide you on this if you had reached out.
The homeowner takes great pride in providing a top-notch experience and is dedicated to maintaining high-quality standards for every guest. We look forward to welcoming many more satisfied visitors to this property.Beautiful view
5/5 It was a very peaceful place to be up in the mountains. Cabin was beautiful and spacious. The only bad thing is the road to the house, you'll need a SUV or truck to get there. Overall we love it.
