The Unpleasant Surprise
3/5 We were surprised immediately as we drove up to the house! Trash had been strewn across the front from an overturned trash can; porch and furniture were still covered in yellow pollen. Cleaning supplies were on shelves by the door. Yard was uncut and needed much attention, and the house needed some upkeep! Upon entering, we saw sagging, dirty furniture and definitely not the look pictured online. There was a smell to this sitting room furniture! The baths seemed clean but the soap in one bath was old and moldy. It should be removed if not usable! There was no accommodation for sitting luggage and just sitting in bedrooms. Though the location of the house was perfect for what we came to do, we were very disappointed and actually surprised that VRBO is sponsoring this place.

5/5 We had a great stay! There was so much to explore nearby and lots of restaurants when we wanted to get out. The hot tub was the best part as we needed to relax after hiking.

Quaint home, close to downtown
5/5 My friends and I enjoyed our stay in Clayton. Plenty of shops and restaurants on the Main Street in town. The home was generally clean (but could stand a deep clean), the hot tub was nice. We took advantage of the large dining table to play games and enjoy snacks. You do have to sort of use the neighbors driveway to turn around, but that was ok. Overall, it was a nice home for the weekend.
