  My husband and two of our children (a young adult and a pre-teen) recently spent a week at this mountain house in Blue Ridge, GA. We've been vacationing in the North Georgia mountains for over 10 years and have stayed at a wide variety of rental properties — and this one is quickly becoming one of our very favorites.

  Starting with the location, it's a true gem. The home is easy to access — some properties with great views come with a treacherous drive, but this one had an easy approach and still delivered a lovely mountain view. It's just 10-15 minutes to shopping and dining in downtown Blue Ridge, which made every outing relaxed and enjoyable rather than a long production.

  The house is a vacation in and of itself. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with comfort and beauty. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and care into stocking the home for every need — based on past experiences elsewhere, I packed extra supplies "just in case," and ended up not needing any of it because the house was so well equipped. The beds and linens were wonderfully comfortable, and the indoor and outdoor dining furniture were a lovely touch. The property is pet friendly too--we loved having our two dogs with us!

  My husband and I even got out for a couple of dates at local breweries and restaurants, while as a family we played games, shared meals, and spent plenty of time laughing and talking together. It was the perfect balance of couple time and family togetherness. The game room with pool table and arcade, the hot tub, and the covered outdoor fireplace were hits with everyone.

  The town of Blue Ridge offers so much to explore when you want to venture beyond the house. This trip, we rode the historic Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, picked blackberries and shopped the market at Mercier Orchards, hiked to Long Creek Falls, and enjoyed lunch and ice cream downtown.

  Our stay at "Pop Pop's Cabin" was the perfect blend of rest and adventure. The beauty of the mind, and spirit. We can't wait to return!

• Stress-free Getaway

  This is what we all needed which was a quiet and peaceful place to unwind and relax. Beautiful view and spacious house which gave everyone room to relax and enjoy themselves together or apart. The house was clean and well maintained. It’s close to stores and restaurants but far enough away to think you were away from civilization. Can’t wait to go back!!!

• Cabin Hide Away

  Great experience in a spacious cabin. The views were amazing. Close enough to the city to not make going into town an all-day trip but far enough not to hear the city. Plenty of hiking close by.

  The cabin was fully “decked” with ample seating outside to listen to the birds in the morning or watch the stars at night.

  Will definitely come back in the future and stay longer.

  Exceptional!

  Great location, secluded and quiet. Yet just a few minutes away from grocery and town.

  Very clean.

  Plenty of room.

  Well-stocked kitchen.

  Good quality furniture and linens.

  Gas grill and hot tub.

  Amazing game room: pool table, video games, darts, etc.

  Can't wait to go back. Hope there's availability when we want to go.

  A GREAT choice.
