1/5 The house was just fine except that the owner lives full time on the property. It felt as though we were invading his personal space. When we went out on the deck we could hear him on the phone, we could hear the ring alerting his phone when we would leave and enter the property. Just an uncomfortable situation. Just be aware, you are not renting a house , just a space to be shared with the owner.

The right vacation home is everything, and we’re sorry if this one wasn’t quite the fit you were hoping for. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We make it clear in the listing that we reside in the lower-level unit, while guests have their own private upstairs space.
- We use security cameras only for standard monitoring of arrivals and departures, and never inside the home or in areas that would impact guest privacy.
- We are mindful of guest comfort and do our best to keep noise to a minimum when visitors are enjoying the deck.

5/5 We had a wonderful time at Trailwalker. The property was beautiful. The furnishings were perfect and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching the deer and birds every morning. Blue Ridge is a beautiful town with lots to do. Our host Bob was extremely accommodating and even left a bottle of wine at check in. I would highly recommend.
