Condo was as pictured. We loved the 2 patio doors the unit has. Wonderful sunsets right from them! Spacious rooms. Closet of beach essentials. Host was extremely fast at answering my questions. On-site staff super nice. We stayed right after hurricane Milton as I was not able to rebook our flights. Even with this property dealing with the aftermath of that, this place still was awesome and all staff we encountered was pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place! I would also love to come back!
We were traveling for business after Hurricane Milton hit florida, and we were going to be putting in long stressful days helping people with flood damages. So we went online to evolve.com and searched for a nice place to stay, done place at the beach with a pool and a hot tub. Places were limited because of the hurricane. It damaged so many homes it was truly horrible. But at came across this listing, it mentioned nothing about being affected by the hurricane so we booked it. We had our place to stay and then we booked our airfare and car rentals. We were flying overnight on the 13th to check in on the 14th. We got a call early afternoon from the owners stating she had not updated her listing and that the property was damaged. She said, the elevator didn't work nor did the poolhotter. tub. Her place was on the 6th floor but because it being so last minute we said we would deal with that. Fast forward to arriving at the property, we walk in and we thought we can make this work. We had a kitchen, laundry and three beds. So we started to settle in for our weeks stay. We went to wash up and found no wash cloths, minimal soap and we also found only two rolls of TP in each bathroom (4 people for 1 week) so we went to the store and bought food to stock the fridge, tp, soap and wash cloths for the bathrooms and went back to cclean up and make dinner. The kitchen has little to no useable kitchen items, such as baking sheets and baking pans, one roll of paper towels it was a total let down. The unit has three tvs, and three beds one being a sofa pullout bed. The beds in the bedrooms were comfortable, but the pullout is beyond worn out and is not suitable for a dog. We tried to turn the old TV on in the master bedroom, but it had no connection. We messaged the owner and she said oh sorry I have never tried it. My guess is she likely had never been to her property. All in all this was a horrible value at any price. I have a vacation rental that we take pride in, all of the things that I mentioned are things we would never allow to happen to one of our guests. Evolve is our management company and up until now we have been very impressed with them, but after no resolve from them we are rethinking who might manage our property in the future.
Owner's response: Jason, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we were sure to let you know what was happening with the amenities at the unit before you arrived.
We contacted you to let you know that because of Hurricane Milton, we sustained damages that would not be repaired immediately. We told you that the elevator, pool, and hot tub would not be available because they were under 4 feet of water and would not be fixed before you arrived. You said that was ok because you were there for work and would not be needing any of these things.
The wifi was working well when you arrived on Monday but apparently went out Tuesday evening. We spoke around 10 p. on Tuesday via text and we told you the front desk runs the wifi through the association.
We also gave you the option to check out early and advised we would be charging you for the cleaning fee and the 2 nights you stayed. You chose to stay and knew what the conditions were in the aftermath of the hurricane.
We were also concerned that you Jason were not the one that we communicated with at times it was Megan who wrote that the complaints came from you and that she as a short-term rental owner understood that things happen and this was out of our control. She mentioned that she sympathized with us and our situation but you were the one that was not happy.
We have put so much love into our home and have been decorating and replacing furniture for 2 years. We are there every month and everyone loves what we have done. You have saddened us by this fraudulent review and we are sorry that you decided to stay and not leave when given the option. As a rental owner yourself you should be ashamed.

This condo was beautiful with an amazing view. I loved the cafe and pool-side bar. It’s in a convenient location and we were able to walk to John’s Pass and other restaurants. The owner was friendly and kept up communication. The only issue we had was that they had to install a new AC unit which meant we weren’t able to check in until 3 hours after our check-in time and it took another hour or two for the condo to cool off. In my opinion, we should’ve been offered a partial refund because we missed out on the beach completely that day and we waited outside at the bar in the heat for hours. The exact thing happened to a friend of ours and the condo owner gave them a large gift card to a local restaurant for their inconvenience. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and loved the condo.
