• Did it's job, but a bit underwhelming

  Our kids both go to college in Pensacola, so we visit the area fairly often and have stayed in vacation rentals probably a dozen times over the years.

  Unfortunately, this particular stay was our least favorite.

  Starting with the pros:

  The location was great...pretty close to everything we needed (college, shopping, restaurants, etc.).

  We all slept really well...mattresses were not brand new, but had no issues. Water pressure in showers was great! Dining and kitchen areas suited our needs just fine.

  Living room seating was a little cramped for four adults, but it worked. Smart tv's throughout the home was a good touch even though we didn't use them.

  Wifi was good and strong.

  The cons:

  While we didn't expect a brand new home, the decor and overall upkeep of the home was not in the greatest condition.

  Bedroom closet door was busted and unusable.

  Remnants of a broken towel rack were still dangling from the master bathroom wall.

  Key hooks were barely dangling off the wall by the entry/welcome table.

  Ants in the kitchen; moldy shower curtain.

  No toilet paper, so we had to go buy our own.

  Check-out instructions said we had to wash the towels before we left...but there was no laundry detergent provided. That being the case, we were a little uneasy about if/how they were washed previously. So, we bought our own detergent and decided to wash all the towels prior to using them.

  The over-grown foliage on the walkway by the front door scratched my wife's leg.

  The magnolia tree is overgrown, making it inconvenient to park two cars in the driveway.

  Garbage can was already full - nobody bothered to empty it for that week.

  Again, it was a place to stay...it served its purpose, but still a bit disappointing. For our next visit, I'd be more than willing to pay extra for a home that is a little less neglected.

  -They apologize for the inconveniences you encountered and will address the broken closet door, towel rack, and key hooks immediately.
  -The moldy shower curtain will be replaced, and the ant issue in the kitchen will be handled with a thorough pest control treatment.
  -The overgrown foliage near the walkway and driveway will be trimmed back to prevent any future issues.
  -They regret that there was no toilet paper or laundry detergent available; these items will be restocked for future guests.
  Your feedback is valuable as it helps us improve, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance the next time you visit Pensacola.

  Cute small neighborhood and a cute small condo. We spent very little time in the actual house (we were visiting for a conference), but the time we were there it was comfortable. Had everything we needed!

• Comfortable Stay for 3 Adults

  The house is small and cozy, it fit 3 of us nicely. If you have 2 adults and 2 children you would be fine. When we travel and stay at a vacation rental we plan to cook meals in the home and expect the kitchen to be set up for that…this house is not. It has pots and pans but not serving/cooking utensils and the silverware was sparse and cheap. The ice maker on the refrigerator does not work. They supplied one ice tray in the freezer.

  No bath mat in the primary bathroom and only single ply toilet paper in the house. The water pressure in the primary was horrible as well.

  The neighbors have a barking dog that started barking around 6:00am. The community gardeners came through one morning as well, early, into the backyard. No advanced notice that that would be happening.

  The upside for me was the location, it was right in the middle of where my mom is in assisted living and my dad’s house, so my daily commute back and forth between the 2 was not bad.

  Overall the stay was fine, we just expected a bit more to work with in the home.

  From the owner: "Sorry that some features were not to your liking. An ice maker is not listed in the listing because there is currently no water line available for it, however, we are looking into it for the future. There used to be more ice trays because of this, but this is the first time I have been made aware that there is only one. Because of your notification, we will make sure more are provided in the future.
  -I believe many cooking utensils are provided, but sorry they did not meet your specific needs. There is simply no way to predict this. If you ever choose to stay again, there is a Walmart, a Walgreens, and several other convenience stores in the immediate vicinity for extras.
  -We try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but sometimes external factors like the neighbor’s pets are simply out of our control. This is the first time I have heard of it, so hopefully it is a one-time or limited occurrence. Apologies you didn't receive the warning about the weekly lawn care. We will make sure it is emphasized in the listing if not already so. Thank you for your feedback and Happy Holidays."
