Canal life is the best!!
5/5 We completely enjoyed our stay. The pictures do not do this home justice....in person it is even better than it looks here! Do yourself a favor and book this!
Pros: The communication with Tony (manager) was great! The home had every kitchen thing you could possibly need...most of which appeared brand new. The beds were comfortable (except the Murphy bed...an inexpensive 2 or 3 inch foam pad would help this). The bathrooms were gorgeous!
But let me talk about the location! Every morning I sat out on the deck and watched the boats go by with my coffee. Many times dolphins too!! In the early evenings, more boat watching and the dolphins going back out to sea! And all times inbetween....we all would enjoy time out there soaking up the sun and usually one of us casting a pole! The corner has a very sweet spot for fish and we found it! We caught mangrove snapper, redfish, bluefish, pufferfish, and a couple we couldn't identify. My boys did some "after dark" fishing and caught lots of catfish.
And then there's the hot tub...is there anything better in life than sitting in a hot tub on a canal with all the above happening?? Let me assure you... there is NOT! We enjoyed the hottub immensely!
Cons: Didn't have a single con.
Helpful for future guests....this home is geared for taller people I think...us shorties could not reach many things easily (2 of us were 5ft tall). A stool would be a helpful addition for the microwave, clothes washer (to reach bottom of drum to get clothes out), and cupboards; specifically. Luckily, my boys were tall enough to help out with these, but a stool would be handy.
We loved our stay and appreciated the owners sharing their lovely home with us! We recommend this 1000%!!
