• Perfect Getaway!

  The house is nestled in a quiet, cozy little neighborhood. My wife and I were in Florida to visit friends and family in three directions from Ocala -- Gainesville, Deland, and Orlando. The location was perfect for being able to get to them, and then come back for our quiet little hideaway for the evening.

  The screened in porch was perfect for coffee in the morning, and some other beverage to wind the day down in the evening.

  Easy walking distance to a new Publix, or to downtown, where my wife spent her summers as a teen (many years ago!).

  We would (probably will) make it our home again the next time we're in Florida.

• Ocala Visit

  Upon arriving at the property, we were greeted by neighbors next door who had a pit bull on a leash. This was alarming. The house set far back from the road. The yard and front porch were full of leaves which could be hazardous if wet. At first sight, I was afraid I made the wrong choice.

  This property can only accommodate one couple comfortably. The second couple needs to sleep on a pull out bed or couch.

  It was difficult to walk to town because of the lack of sidewalks on the street where the house is.

  This property is close to Silver Springs, the Santos Bike Trail (which is a fabulous 15 mile greenway for bike riding), and downtown Ocala (when driving). That was a positive.

  This property was clean on the inside. Amenities were good except for sleeping arrangements.
