Lovely Naples Home: Backyard Oasis w/ Pool!

• Did not live up to expectations

  We rented this property for a family reunion with 10 people. While the size of the home was adequate for our group, unfortunately, our stay was marred by several issues that did not meet the expectations set by the listing. Upon arrival the cleanliness of the house was disappointing. We had a long list of grievances upon inspection. Kitchen: The towels looked more like rags and not enough silverware for 10 people. Master Bedroom: There were no blinds on the smaller windows, which was inconvenient for privacy and light control. Bathroom Supplies: Only one bath, hand and washcloth were provided per person, which felt insufficient for a house accommodating 10 guests. Also only one hairdryer was provided for 3 bathrooms. Shower Curtains: Both bathrooms had shower curtains that were in dire need of a good cleaning. Guest Bathroom: The cabinet didn't close properly which was frustrating. Master Bathroom: The lights around the mirrors did not work, and there was an odd smell near the sink. Bedroom Amenities: The bedrooms lacked basic items such as mirrors, garbage cans, nightstands with lamps, clock and even a chair or bench to sit on. The closest were also sparsely furnished with only a few hangers. Outdoor Area: The rugs on the pool deck were dirty and needed washing and the pool deck itself also required cleaning. The patio furniture was filthy, we have pictures of the white towel after cleaning and the BBQ grill was broken. The owner did purchase a new one, but we had to go pick it up ourselves (not even a thank you). We hope the old, non-functioning grill has been removed. Pool Fence: Several slats were missing from the fence around the pool equipment which was very unsightly. Yard & Fire Pit: The yard had a fire pit, but there was a lot of debris (dead foliage), and there was no lighting to enhance the space in the evenings. Guest House: The doors of the guest house did not close properly, and the shades on the doors were difficult to operate.

  It is clear that this property could be lovely, as described, with some much needed attention to cleaning and maintenance. I'm not sure if the requirements with Evolve are different from Vrbo, but based on our experience, the standard did not align with what we expected from a property of this caliber. We hope the owner addresses these issues so that future guests can enjoy the property as it was intended.

  - We replaced the BBQ grill with a pre-assembled model and appreciated your help picking it up during your stay
  - We're sorry the towel setup didn’t meet your expectations. We provide one set per guest by default, but could’ve provided access to extras if needed
  - We're reviewing your notes on the guest house doors, pool fence, and outdoor space to make sure everything is in top shape for future guests

• Wow! Very lovely place!

  This rental was not intended. Our previous rental was unsafe for my special needs son. So for only 3 of us, this was a lot of house. However, it is located in a very nice neighborhood. There are lots of great things in the area. The house was very clean and welcoming. It felt like home away from home. The pool was very nice! We were excited to FaceTime the rest of our family back home to show them how incredible it was, so when we all come back we can rent this place again! I would highly recommend. Being closer to the beach would be nice, however it is worth staying here.

  Everything was as advertised. Very nice and clean home in Naples. Great location. Clean and comfortable home. We were there for a long work trip and everything was convenient and fantastic! Thank you!

• Soccer Tourney Trip

  The space was great for our 3 family group. Enough space for everyone to have a quiet spot. The pool area could use a good cleaning. The grill needs to be replaced, fire hazard. The freezer would leak water from the inside onto the floor, had to keep a towel underneath. There was a septic issue that was resolved as fast as the owner could get someone out there.
