  • Good location, house dirty

    Ants all over beds,counter tops and floors through out the house I’m assuming from the dust and old food under dressers and beds and tables very dirty, old food(chips, crackers etc..) lost internet for a day due to the power outlet box in closet loosing all power in it, we went and got an extension cord from Walmart and plugged everything into it from the power box and plugged into an outlet in the bedroom for us to have internet (wifi) light switch inside the house in living room had water leaking out of it when it rained and under it had an outlet with no face cover on it, think a fire hazard ?? Also toilet roll holder falling off the wall, this place could be really nice due to the great location and the great pool on the resort property with a great lazy river and mini golf if only it had a really good deep deep clean and upkeep every time house guests check out.

    We have stayed in a vacation rental in Storey Lake before, and it was wonderful, the amenities are nice, the neighborhood seems nice, great location close to lots of shopping and restaurants, and not far from theme parks. However, I encourage anyone to read this review before booking this particular vacation home. First off, when we first arrived, there were little black ants all over the home. On countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, on floors of the entryway and bathrooms, on furniture in the bedrooms, and on walls. We sent the rental company a message through the app, in which they responded promptly that they would notify the guest contact.Still waiting to hear from her. The home was not properly cleaned. There were hairs all over the bathroom floors, couches, in the showers, in the washer, in the carpets in all rooms, on the stairs, literally everywhere that should have been cleaned, which let us know that a basic clean was probably not even done. We found dirty underwear/bathing suits in one of the rooms, found kitchen utensils upstairs in one of the bedrooms, dirty towels in the washer/dryer. The furniture downstairs was very stained and needs cleaning or replacing. There were bloodstains on the mattresses. Very gross. To top it all off, the air stopped working the last night,and the temperature reached 80 degrees in the home. Very disappointing. Save yourself some disappointment and book a different rental home in the Storey Lake community. Beware.

    - The home is enrolled in regular pest control, and we also schedule on-call visits when needed. We’re sorry to hear about the ant issue and that our guest contact wasn’t as responsive as expected during your stay.
    - Since your visit, we've changed cleaning companies to ensure a higher standard of cleanliness, and the home has been refurnished and remodeled.
    - The A/C issue was unfortunately out of our control at the time due to part availability, but we made every effort to get it repaired as quickly as possible. It has now been fully repaired for future guests.
    - We provided an industry-standard refund for the inconveniences you experienced and appreciate your understanding.
    Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We genuinely value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to exceed your expectations should you consider staying with us again in the future.

    Rental was not cleaned to standards. Floors were not tidy and had not been vacuumed or swept. Kitchen Counters were dirty. Second floor en-suite shower tile was moldy.Cleaner did not pay attention to details. Pool had not been serviced and did not smell clean. Someone finally came by and serviced the pool the day before we left. The upholstery on the bar stools and table chairs were filthy and are in need of cleaning. I called the manager on duty and she came by to address my concerns. She did vacuum the floors and make sure there was sufficient linens in the house along with wiping down some of the chairs in the kitchen and dining area. We accidentally left my daughter’s jewelry in a drawer. I reached out to the manager on duty via text and asked if they could mail the jewelry. To date we have not heard whether they found it nor have we received the jewelry. I understand that it is our responsibility to check the rental before leaving. Overall I was not pleased with the cleanliness and presentation of this rental and I would not recommend in the future.

    The location of the property was very nice with plenty of parking for our vehicles right outside the front door. I was disappointed with the items in the kitchen. There was no big bowl to mix up a salad, there was no dish soap to wash dishes, the garbage disposal, didn’t work. And there were no kitchen towels!

    In the bathroom, There were a few hardware items that were broken. Pool skimmer didn’t have a handle on it so it was rather challenging to get the worms and bugs out of the pool.

    Our family of five from Bermuda enjoyed a lovely Easter break at this townhouse rental in Kissimmee. The cozy interior and easily accessible surrounding shops provided a perfect backdrop for our getaway. While some minor upkeep and repairs are needed, overall, it's an excellent spot for families looking to unwind.
