• Wonderful Rental

  Wow! This was an awesome rental! Owner thought of everything. Though we drove, it would be a perfect rental for someone flying in. Had everything you need to have a wonderful trip. Even a starter supply of coffee, filters, paper goods, sunblock, laundry detergent, they even had some chip clips! 😊 Place was clean and comfortable for two moms & 3 kiddos. Plenty of beach chairs, toys, 2 beach carts, fishing poles, kayaks & life jackets, and beach towels. Beds were comfortable, and we loved the very private screen porch. Kids enjoyed the fishing from the dock & swimming in the pool in the evening as well. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Beach was a short 5 min walk.

  Overall it's a very nice place, and good for the price.

  The positives:

  1.) kitchen is well appointed with nice pans and plethora of additional items

  2.) garage has some nice beach items with an electric pump to assist

  3.) nice location being further back from the main entrance and near a stairway

  4.) plenty of seating at the table and living room

  5.) second bedroom queen bed is very firm

  The negatives:

  1.) Very squeaky floors! By top of steps and 3rd step down especially

  2.) the smart thermostat is locked and the upstairs is substantially warmer than downstairs. Thermostat was set to 72, but a digital thermometer is above the upstairs bathroom and read 78. We could not set the thermostat to run the fan to keep the air moving when the A/C was off.

  3.) the bathrooms (except downstairs half bath) have a single switch to run the light and fan simultaneously, and the fans are quite loud!

  4.) Master bedroom mattress is quite soft, caused some back pain for us.

  If the negatives aren't a big deal to you, the unit will be perfectly fine.

• Wonderful stay!

  We enjoyed our stay here! I will list pros and cons to our visit. Our cons would not prevent us from renting this again but just things owners could improve everyone's experience.

  Pros-

  -Very quiet neighborhood, family friendly

  -Clean

  -Beach amenities were amazing, we had 2 wagons to take all of our stuff to the beach-plenty of beach chairs, sand toys, beach towels, 2 kayaks, foam cooler (would have been nice to have an actual cooler), 3 tubes, 2 adult life jackets and 2 youth life jackets, wave boards, foam noodles for the pool, and footballs. Only suggestions I have, it would have been nice to have a beach bag to carry our towels and an umbrella to get a break from the sun while being at the beach all day.

  -5-minute walk to the beach

  -Pool was decent size it was nice and warm and deepest was 6'6"

  -Very nice to have 2 bathrooms and 1/2 bathroom for our family of 6

  -Screened in patio (negative is not much of a view)

  Cons

  -You will have to be able to walk stairs---garage has no direct stair access to your unit-pain when carrying all the groceries and luggage in and having little kids

  -A/C was cool in the morning, but afternoon was warmer than what we would prefer

  -stairs are very squeaky, beds in the spare room are very noisy and kids said they were uncomfortable--owners could update these.

  -would be nice to have TVs in bedrooms so we all didn't have to watch the same show in the living area-also would be nice to have local channels

  We had a wonderful stay. Two nice ice cream shops nearby-LuLus and Bay one-our kids favorite was Bay one (had more flavors to pick from)

  We took the kids to Clearwater beach for the day and they all after an hour wanted to go back to Indian Shores-Clearwater was VERY busy and parking was a nightmare in Clearwater and costs $30-$40. Indian Shores is very nice, quiet and just what our family prefers.

  Caddy's-shrimp tacos were amazing

  Original Crabby Bills-Great daily deals check them out--night we went 1/2lb u-peel shrimp for $5

  Coco Crush North Beach--Monday and Tuesdays all you can eat crab legs

  Bay 1 ice cream-kids loved several different flavors

  We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed being in a quieter neighborhood and several days enjoyed the pool to ourselves.

• Fantastic Place

  We had a fabulous time during out stay at this wonderful home. The home was clean and came with everything we needed and more. The fact that we were able to use beach chairs, life jackets, fishing poles, tubes, wagons and kayaks, was icing on the cake! The location is perfect, as the beach is across the street, backwater is on the property and of course the pool was a hit. This was a girl's trip with my mother, sister-in-law and our two tween girls. There was plenty to do for everyone! The complex was nice and quiet yet allowed for families to have fun at the same time. The stairs up to the unit are quite steep, so keep this in mind for hauling groceries and bags. The residents who live at the complex were also so kind and willing to give us all sorts of tips (especially Tom and Nancy). I am dreaming of the day that we will be able to return. Thank you for sharing your space!
