  This place was great. Property is situated on a canal. We sat in the screened in porch during the morning and evening. Watch a dolphin and manatee swim by. Location is close to a lot of attractions and restaurants. Enjoyed the history of the house. Property owners were easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

• In need of a clean up

  We had many issues with this rental. Very musty on arrival.

  Not the area as we expected, many unexpected trailers in area, plastic on windows downstairs, fridge did not cool after 3 days on high we did loose some food.

  No storage space in kitchen full of old dish ware.

  Floating dock needs work.

  It did have its charm lots of new trow pillows that were needed on hard furniture, however if I had seen the old and dirty mattress cover before taking it off when leaving we would have never stayed.

Had you relayed your concerns to us as soon as you encountered them, I can assure you we would have taken care of everything within our power immediately for you.
  
  We had just left our home the morning you arrived after a two week stay and did not notice any musty odors. We added a brand-new couch and outdoor furniture to our home for our guests enjoyment, so we are sorry if it did not meet your comfort needs. Perhaps it was the smell of the new furniture we had just installed you mistook for musty?
  
  Our property is on a canal with direct access to the Gulf, you may have seen some trailers nearby that are located all around Florida. Rest assured, the property itself is secure and private. As for the floating dock, more details about your concerns would be greatly appreciated to address them effectively. Again, we were just there a few hours before you arrived and did not notice any repairs necessary for the safety or enjoyment of guest on the dock. I know there were a few storms that came through so something might have happened after we left.
  
  The lower level’s canal side locked doors have plastic sheets as a precaution against hurricane season flooding, located in what we call a "bonus" room, not impacting your stay or access to the area.
  
  The refrigerator was installed two days before you arrived. I purchased it brand new from Home Depot and we experienced no cooling problems before we left. Additional details would have been useful to diagnose any issues and I would have had them out to repair or replace it for you immediately. We have Fiesta Ware dishes for our guest to use and pride ourselves on having everything you may need for cooking and entertaining during your stay. Our guests appreciate that they can come in and have everything they may need to enjoy themselves.
  
  We will most certainly replace the mattress cover. Our apologies that this was overlooked by our cleaners.

  Communication with Matthew was great. The house itself had some very interesting history. House was set up nicely, with enough kitchen items to create dinners.

• Cute little place for a quiet getaway

  Great experience staying on canal. Wonderful screened in porch to sip coffee and enjoy happy hour. Had a couple issues, but host/mgmt co was very responsive and helpful. Kayaking was a highlight. Hudson itself not a great beach location, but SunWest (man made beach) 5 min away and $5 parking fee. Check out Tarpon Springs for beaches and shopping (30 min away).

  - Our guest book is now at the house showing how centrally located to many beaches we are. I am so sorry it was not there for your stay.
  - In addition to Sun West and Hudson Beaches, to the North are Pine Island and Brasher Park; both are great beaches not too far from the house that our family enjoys.
  - To the South, much closer than Tarpon, are Gulf Harbors and Robert K Rees Beaches in New Port Richly.
  We hope you will come back and enjoy the house again and maybe try your hand at some of the world-class fishing we also offer in the area!
