  Spent a few days at Amelia Island over spring break with our daughters. The condo was perfectly situated within walking distance to the beach. The layout of the condo was perfect for our family and the kitchen was well-appointed. We would definitely go again!

  This property had a very musky smell, this may be due to the age of the property, but nonetheless it was an unpleasant smell. It was a lot smaller than what it appeared to be in the pictures. I didn’t like that we couldn’t adjust the temperature to cooler than 70. And actually, there was a note right near the thermostat that said don’t move temperature past 80F.. not cool cool. I thought the price was fair, would I stay there again? No .

  Hi Kortnie, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - The property took on some moisture during a recent storm season, and we’ve been airing it out regularly. We’re also adding air purifiers and dehumidifiers to keep the space fresh and comfortable.
  - The note by the thermostat was meant to limit heat settings in the winter, not cooling. We’ve removed it and are installing a new smart thermostat this week so guests and managers can easily make adjustments.
  - We’re sorry for any frustration with the space feeling smaller than expected. Photos are taken professionally to showcase the home, but we understand if it felt different in person.
  - We live just a mile away and always appreciate the chance to address concerns during a guest’s stay. We wish we had known about these issues sooner so we could have helped.

• Great Stay!

  What a great place to stay for a great price!

  We're normally the family that splurges for a big, single-family home right on the beach, but this year we needed to reign in the budget a bit. This condo was just perfect for that! It's not on the beach, but the beach is just a short walk away, or you can drive just a couple of minutes to the free public beach access parking area next to Sliders Seaside Grill. It's also not far at all from necessity shopping, like Publix or Walmart.

  The pool is centrally located on the property so only takes a minute to walk to. The pool water was FREEZING while we were there due to the post Hurricane Milton cold front, but that didn't stop our kids from happily welcoming a potential bout of hypothermia.

  My husband and I opted to DoorDash Mexican food and margaritas from Cantina Louie one evening, and let me tell you, the raspberry margaritas hit the spot (we wish we had opted for more than one "jug") and the Quesabirria tacos and pork street tacos were delightful.

  The condo was nice and clean and was perfect for me, my husband, and all of our kiddos. The twin beds in the two non-master bedrooms can be converted into king beds if requested, but since we have kids that don't like to touch or look at each other, we kept them all as twins. There were plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, and small appliances available (outside of the regular appliances, I mean). There were also plenty of towels and toilet paper (not just one spare roll like some places provide). And I know that everyone is different when it comes to the type of bed they like to sleep on, but my husband and I found the master bed to be incredibly comfy. After a day at the beach or out on the town, we couldn't wait to get back to the condo to lounge on the bed and watch some trash TV (which is totally allowed on vacation)!
