  It was great!!! No surprises, everything was exactly how the host said it would be!!! I love the two balconies and the view. Super convenient to the local beach and restaurants!!! Would definitely recommend for family and friends!!!!

• Resort is great - Condo could be better

  This is our second visit to the Palms. We love the resort - many pools, close walk to beach!

  This condo however was not the best. The minute we walked in the door we noticed food on the floors, there was hair ties and a hair brush left on the floor from previous occupants? In the kitchen I pulled a coffee mug out of the cabinet and it was dirty inside. The floors in general were very dirty, my kids feet were black just from walking around in the condo.

  The first night we had issues with the TV remote, the batteries weren't working, and there appeared to be battery acid on the remote. I reached out to the 'local contact' and they stated they would bring us batteries the following day and never showed up with them our entire stay.

  After we never received the battery delivery, the local contact proceeded to reach out to me stating they needed the patio furniture brought inside due to the impending hurricane and could we bring it in or did we need them to come and do it. Which is concerning and not very hospitable in my opinion.

  Due to the impending hurricane and not being from the area, we didn't know how bad it might be so we decided to leave a day early, I reached out to the local contact regarding a refund for us leaving early due to the hurricane, and she replied 'I don't do anything w the money' I tried to reach out with no success to get a refund.

  Needless to say we will not be returning to this condo, and don't recommend it.

  We sincerely apologize for the cleanliness issues you encountered. While we were unable to identify the exact cause, please rest assured that we have taken your comments very seriously. We have discussed this matter with our cleaning staff to ensure it does not happen again and have reinforced our quality checks to meet the high standards we strive for.
  
  Regarding the TV remote batteries, we understand this was frustrating, and we regret the inconvenience caused. We have now placed spare batteries in the unit to prevent similar situations in the future.
  
  As for the patio furniture, we apologize if the request came across as inconvenient. The condo association recommends bringing in outdoor items during potential hurricanes to ensure everyone's safety, but this is not mandatory. We understand your concerns and will consider better ways to handle such requests moving forward.
  
  In terms of the refund due to the hurricane, as soon as we were informed of your request through Evolve, we approved it and processed it promptly. We apologize for any confusion during this process and hope it has since been resolved to your satisfaction.
  
  We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations, and we are committed to learning from this feedback. Despite the issues, we hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

• Great resort

  Overall great resort and amazing condo with 2 proper king size bedrooms! It was hard to find one like that and we were happy to be there. A bit further from ocean then we would like it to be but not a deal breaker. Great huge pool!

• Relaxing!

  The stay at this resort and condo was extremely nice! Accommodations provided everything you needed for the stay and the condo was very clean and maintained. The resort pool is AMAZING and helped complete the relaxing weekend. Close to everything you want...beach, shopping, grocery stores, restaurants and more. Sitting on the balcony was worth the entire stay for me as for I was recovering from foot surgery at the time and it was not possible to walk on the beach. The comfortable recliner in the suite was a plus as well!

  Tracy, our guest contact was extremely responsive to a few initial questions we had at check-in but access into the condo upon arrival was flawless.

  Palms of Destin resort is fantastic! Carts are provided upon check-in to help get your luggage up to the condos. They are very accommodating about letting you park by the door while you load and unload for your stay. Very secure as for everywhere you go on the property requires your personal entry code. The building itself is a little older and could use some updating but the condo was very clean and fresh smelling.

  Be sure to bring your own towels for the pool as for extras are not provided by your host. My only complaint would be there could be more quest towels provided and the mattresses could use some updating. Otherwise, our stay was very comfortable and I would stay there again.
