  The pictures on VRBO were many many years ago. Outlets had no plate covers so a fire hazard, curtains didn’t even cover dirty windows, area rugs covering damaged flooring, the lighting in the kitchen area was a lamp plugged into gfi outlet with no lamp shade and went to go out one day and the door handle came off in our hand. Reported it to her and she said it was supposed to be fixed. The door itself was damaged and could have been easily accessible.

• Great Room But Interesting Building

  This room was just as advertised. It's cute, has an amazing view and has a perfect-sized kitchenette. It even has beach chairs available (we had our own) and dishes in the kitchen. Do bring your own bath towels and washcloths (it had one towel only, but we had our own so it was not an issue).The hotel the room is in, however, is a bit sketchy. It's in a transition right now, but it feels like it's very early in that transition and has a ways to go. The lobby is being remodeled and is very nice. The hallways and exterior are really really worn. I'm sure they are likely on the remodel list for some point too, but, whew, there's a lot of work to do.But, it is right on the beach, and post hurricanes, the pool is open and it has beach access, which is rare right now. The view and access is amazing. And it's close to everything. We didn't pay a whole lot for our stay, so we do feel we got our money's worth. And like I said, the room is great. So overall, we're happy with our experience. Will we be back? As for now, no. But, if the building remodel continues, we'd consider it.
