• Smell was terrible and house was old and dirty

  Awful smell in the house the whole stay. Knobs in sink of queen room are broken, doesn’t drain. Shower has no pressure. Kitchen has no water pressure.Frig had no ice or waterAfter frig was changed out, it was very dirty inside and out. Pool wasn’t cleaned at all for our whole stay. We also found 3 screws in the bottom of the pool and tons of metal shavings all around the pool. 2 of us got them stuck in our feet.Trash cans had trash in them when we got here.No blinds in queen bedroomNo extra blanketsNo throw blankets in both living rooms No air mattress like stated onlineVery few bath towelsNot enough toilet paper and no extra to be found in the houseOnly half a roll of paper towels when we arrived.Everything was very old and dirty.The smell was the worst. Had to open windows to let the house air out.

  Hi Katie, we’re glad to hear that you thought the house was beautiful. We want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  
  - We apologize for the issues with the ice maker, we switched it out the next morning and everything was working fine. It was also cleaned inside and outside.
  - The pool is cleaned on Fridays it was the same day you checked out. We have informed the pool cleaners, and the housekeepers about the items you found. We did power wash the pool/deck and we found none of those items.
  - We are sorry that the trash was not emptied the prior guest did not pull the cans to the curb so they didn't get picked up. All of the trash cans in the house were cleaned and emptied.
  - We did not get any feedback on several of these items until you departed and we have talked to the cleaning crew. They have replaced the new sink drain which was delivered during your stay. They also checked on the kitchen faucet, dirty throws, missing air mattress, and the window blinds.
  - We are not sure what you meant by "everything was old" all of the furniture is new (one year old) and the appliances are also 1 year old except, for the fridge. Both the bathroom and kitchen were renovated a year ago.
  - We have had someone check for water leaks/moisture in the roof and the house but nothing was found so we are not sure where the musty odor came from.
  
  We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
