    We needed a place to stay to take care of the estate of a family member. This home and location provided this for us. When we needed to extend our stay Rose was helpful walking me through the process.

    While the house could use some TLC it was spacious and had everything we needed.

    5 ladies stayed at the house. Th house was close to our event and also to eating places and grocery stores and gas stations. It is close to 75 and it made was easy to get to waterfront places also.

    It was nice to have the living room and a tv room (a lot of seating and very comfortable couches). Many TVs in the place. Bedrooms set up perfectly. One bathroom has a very deep walk in tub with a not connected big shower. There is a-lot of outside seating. BBQ briquettes great

    Very good parking!

    Size of house is great for there is a lot of space to hang out in

  • Property suffering from serious neglect

    Evolve does not communicate through the VRBO app, even though there is a “chat” feature to contact the host directly and message them through the VRBO app. All of my initial inquiries went unanswered. Once I was able to get in contact with Evolves help line, accessing the property went fairly smooth. The condition of the home was drastically misrepresented in the photographs. The yard was completely overgrown (found out the landscaping crew had been on vacation for 3 weeks). Dirty band-aides, cigarette butts and bottle caps around the pool area. Candy under the couches. Rust and something green growing in the window of the hallway bathroom. Burnt out bulbs and janky wiring everywhere (fire hazards). Dirty kitchen appliances, that were not cleaned after the last guests. The home is suffering from serious neglect and it looks like they are simply pocketing the cleaning and maintenance fees and not using the money to upkeep the house. When I reported these issues, the management company wanted us to spend our vacation time waiting around the house for them to send people by to fix issues that should have been addressed prior to us checking in. At least the bed sheets and towels were clean. Very disappointed, but we were 2300 miles from home and had no other options. Evolve has done nothing to rectify the situation and getting ahold of someone that can help has become increasingly more difficult. If they fixed up the property and did some routine maintenance, it could be nice.

    Hi Christopher, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, we'd like to share the following:
    - From us here at Evolve, after checking our communication history, it appears that you contacted our team on 8/11 requesting the door code. Our team responded within the hour, sharing the pre-stay information again, which contained the code. We're sorry if this was unclear.
    - The landscaping issue was resolved during your stay. The landscaper was temporarily unavailable for three weeks, and his coverage missed an appointment, but this has now been resolved.
    - We've notified our cleaning company about all cleanliness concerns, including the candy found behind the couch, kitchen appliances, and the pool area so these issues don't recur for future guests. 
    - The bathroom window has been cleaned and sealed to prevent additional moisture from entering the small crack. We're actively working on a permanent replacement, contingent on the availability of parts and labor.
    - Our maintenance team has replaced the light bulbs and inspected and replaced the missing clip for the string lights. Rest assured, it's not a fire hazard.
    - We offered to address all concerns during your stay, as is standard in the vacation rental industry. Our goal is to ensure a most pleasant stay by promptly addressing any issues.
    - Evolve here - we always work with both guests and homeowners when issues arise, and apologize that we were unable to come to the resolution you were hoping for. Since the homeowner offered to promptly address all issues, and you declined this resolution, we determined that a refund wasn't warranted.
    We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we're confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
