  Overall stay was fine. Check-in was simple. Check out instructions weren't terribly difficult to follow. Primary reason for rating is the stay's accommodations/amenities and their condition.

  The mattresses in the stay are very stiff. If you are sensitive to that, I would not recommend booking this stay as it caused some pain/soreness for us during the stay.

  On the subject of sleep, there is a neighbor with chickens, and a rooster that can't tell time. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs or a noise machine to account for him.

  I don't believe a single clock in the stay is set to the actual correct time of day.

  The backsplash in the kitchen is print/stick-on, and peeling in some locations.

  The lights in the living room fan do not work/are out. The lights in the kitchen are bright enough to be uncomfortable.

  The second bathroom has a cheap sliding wood door with a latch that is difficult to use as there's no great way to grab it and lock it from the inside/outside. It also closed/locked itself once when being closed from the outside. We had to use a butterknife to turn the latch and unlock it to retrieve our bathroom belongings inside.

  Overall, the stay was easy enough to navigate and the A/C worked mostly fine. But with the above issues, and no dishwasher to boot, I would not recommend staying here again without changes/upgrades made to the property.

  - The mattresses are newer and were chosen with durability in mind, but we understand everyone has different comfort preferences and will keep guest feedback in mind for future updates.
  - While the nearby rooster isn’t on the property, we know it can be an early alarm clock for light sleepers and will suggest guests bring earplugs for extra comfort. The backsplash will be inspected and resecured where needed so the kitchen stays looking fresh.
  - The living room light was confirmed to be operational, and there are multiple lighting options in the space for softer or brighter settings, depending on preference.
  - The bathroom features a built-in pocket door original to the home; while it can feel a bit tricky, it isn’t designed to lock guests out. We’ll also make sure all clocks are set correctly before the next arrival for a more seamless experience.
