• Spacious but musty with an ant issue

  Peter allowed us to check in early which was extremely nice on a holiday. Upon check-in, it smelled of mold/mildew, perhaps because the thermostat is kept at 80 upon check out, I'm not sure but the smell is exceptionally unpleasant. The home is nice and large so we all had a nice space. Unfortunately, there was an ant problem and initially Peter stated that it was due to sugar in the kitchen, but I later saw ant traps and the ants were even in the bathroom upstairs. We kept all dry goods in the refrigerator. It was unpleasant. After a long day at the beach, our family wanted to relax and watch a movie together, the tv in the living room would not allow us to load apps to do so. You also could not screen mirror. When contacting Peter for help, he stated that he never used the TV, he couldn't advise but he suggested that we get the model number and download the user guide since no user guide was in the home. Well we already did and we had Mac products and this Phillips TV isn't compatible with Mac products. For the price of this VRBO, a Smart TV should be available in the common area for a family to be able to enjoy IMO. We did enjoy the Pickleball court!

  -The musty smell may have been due to the house not being occupied for a couple of weeks with the thermostat set to conserve energy. Adjusting the temperature seems to have helped, and we apologize for any initial discomfort.
  -We have addressed the ant issue by placing new ant traps throughout the property. Coastal areas can sometimes attract ants, but we take proactive measures to manage this.
  -The TV in the living room is a smart TV, but we apologize for the inconvenience you faced. We have since replaced the missing Roku device to ensure better functionality.
  -We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the pickleball court and found the space accommodating for your family.
  
  While we do regret our home was not up to your expectations, we are happy to report that no issues were reported by the guests who stayed the following weekend.

• Wonderful vacation home

  This place was absolutely perfect for me and my family of 4. It was clean, modern, spacious and included everything we needed for a fantastic vacation. Plenty of room for dinner, games, and so much more. Plus it was super affordable and close to all of our favorite activities in Bethany beach!! We will absolutely be returning again.
