  • Not ready for Prime Time

    We rented the unit for six weeks, I called a few days in advance to confirm (spoke with mgmt company) check in instructions. Upon our arrival temperature in the house was 49 Degrees, unit took almost 5 hours to reach temps in the 60s. As we were working from home wifi was important and were unable to connect. After many calls/texts with owner and internet provider it was discovered the password provided was incorrect. Prior to booking we inquired about wifi speed and told it was good for work at home. This was not the case, it was spotty and speedtest.net showed download speed of 15 mbps, not optimal for zoom calls.

    Further we encountered other problems, no blankets in one of the bedrooms, only towels for one bathroom, no pots and pans, drinking glasses, or any type of bowls for salads etc. Utensils were minimal. Unit was described as having an equipped kitchen, that was not the case. Owner did have management company bring over the missing items the next day. The GFCI went on the plug and the kitchen refrigerator went out, this needed to be repaired. We communicated to the owner and mgmt company that unit was not cleaned, hair in the showers and on the floors. Place needed to be vacuumed and wiped down. Nothing was done to rectify this. We did have to purchase cleaning supplies as there were none on property and clean before we could settle in. Owner did tell us that no one had been in the unit since September. It would've been nice for them to have someone to go through the unit and make sure it was properly prepared. Property does need some TLC

    TV was not a big deal for us, but had to purchase batteries for the remote as it didn't work, cable was spotty and many times just didn't work. None of the home niceties were available on site such as games, cards, books. I would not describe the unit as a cozy place.

    Deck/Grill were unavailable due to the 2+feet of snow, owner inquired about the status but no one came to clean off. We also had an alarm that went off which turned out to be a water cop to monitor leaks. This shut all the water off to the unit. We informed management company/owner and were told to reset, no one investigated if there was an actual issue.

    We started off rough and had issues throughout. All that said the property is good location to Copper and ABasin. This unit is good if all you do is ski. Meaning you don't have to work and plan only cooking minimal meals. It's not set up for an extended family vacation.

    Great location and neighborhood, super clean and well equipped townhouse with everything you could need or want, beautiful scenery - we had excellent weather, and there were moose right outside! We would stay again and recommend this spot to anyone interested - it was a super choice!
