  Property was fine in terms of condition and cleanliness for what we rented it for, a place to shower and a place to sleep while exhibiting at the State Fair. Issue is the property was listed as having central air conditioning. The house was 78 degrees when we checked in late on Tuesday night, I turned the thermostat down to 70 upon arrival, the house was still 78 the next morning when we left at 5:30am, I let it be thinking that it might take it a while to catch up. When we returned late Wednesday night the house was 79 degrees first thing Thursday I called and emailed the contact and got zero response, I heard from a repair man that evening and he told me everything was working, the house remained at 78 or 79 degrees the entire time until we checked out Sunday morning (2 Days Early) because we were tired of poor nights sleep due to the heat. I emailed the contact Sunday Morning and have yet to receive a response.

  Roomy home with nice full kitchen. In fact 2 full kitchens, with one in the basement “apartment.” Check in was easy and hassle free. It’s an older home in an older neighborhood, and when we arrived the A/C was not working at all (our stay was 3 nights in August and temps had been around 100 - it was 83 inside the house). The guest contact did not respond to text so after about an hour I called. She contacted the owner and gave me his number. He answered my call immediately and was very concerned, graciously offering to put us up in a hotel should his maintenance crew be unable to fix it. We had planned for the full kitchen and brought food to cook, so we wanted to stick around. Maintenance showed up about 15 minutes later and did get the A/C running, then came back the next day to work on it more. It did cool the place down at first, but by the last day of our stay it was near 80 again inside.WiFi was spotty. Beds were very comfortable. Overall it was fine but certainly not fancy; would be more pleasant in the spring or fall.

• 3 am Shooting & Neighbors Car blocking Driveway

  We use VRBO often when on the road for work, this was the worst experience for our team. We were woken up to gun shots and found out the next morning two of the neighbors were shot. Not a safe place to invite people to stay. Two days of our stay the neighbors car was blocking the driveway and we were not able to leave. On one day we saw damage to our brand new truck, it looked like that same car hit us as the paint matched and so did the location. This is not a safe place to stay and should not even be allowed to be listed on VRBO. Zero out of zero do not recommend.
