I've hesitated to write a review of this property for fear of others becoming aware of this gem. We wish we could keep this place all to ourselves! The cabin was absolutely fantastic! We loved the out-of-the-way location, even if it was a few unpaved miles off the main road. You should definitely plan on driving an all wheel drive vehicle or 4x4 when staying here, especially during snowy or wet conditions. I can't see a regular front-wheel only car making its way up the last road to the driveway. My wife and I loved waking up every morning to views of the snow capped mountains. The isolation of the property was also a huge draw for us. There are a few houses on the same road, but they're all so far away as to make us feel like we had the valley to ourselves. Even with the cabin's remote location, Prather's grocery was only 15 minutes away and there were several trails within a 30 minute drive. The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes you'd need for eating and a decent collection of pots, pans, and baking sheets for cooking. The single bathroom was spacious with a washer/dryer combo. The hot water was hot and the cold water was cold. The only issue we had with our stay was that this is a pet-friendly property. The previous renters had a couple dogs that they let sit on all the furniture and we had to clean the couches several times to remove the hair without ever getting them completely clean. Not great for allergies.Other than that, everything was excellent!

The view is amazing and the home had all of the amenities and accommodations we could ask for! We fished at Fairplay Beach and enjoyed the starry skies at night. It’s so peaceful!
Cabin was located in a beautiful quiet setting surrounded by plains and rolling mountains. We also enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets and dark skies that allowed us to see tons of stars, the Milky Way and a Super Moon!

The cabin is very secluded and private and sits on a large plot of land, which is great especially if you have pups to let them run around. The furniture is a bit outdated but decently comfortable. Good water pressure and reliable Wi-Fi. Our biggest gripe is the amount of flies in the cabin. We spent a decent amount of time each day killing at least 50 flies.
Perfect cozy cabin: isolated, comfortable, and gorgeous breathtaking views. Unplug, disconnect, and be present. This is the place to recharge. Thank you to Mark so much for the opportunity to rent.
