The listing was as advertised. There was a nice view, and we could hear the rambling Trout Creek below from the deck. There’s something soothing about hearing a stream flowing over rocks. The deck was a great viewing platform for watching the storms move across the mountains. Inside, there was plenty of room and places to sit and rest for everyone. During the nighttime hours, a nice breeze would cool the house down to the point that many times, we had to close the windows. The ceiling fans were used the entire time we were there.
Amenities
Having two bathrooms was nice. Bathroom were clean and well stocked. Once in the bedrooms, it was like being alone in the house. No noise could be heard from the upstairs bedroom to the lower bedrooms and vice versa. We like to watch shows and movies in our down time and the streaming services provided were nice. Having a washer and dryer in the house was nice, this allowed us to pack lighter and wash our dirty clothes before heading back home. WIFI signal was ample. Given the location, it was enough to stream videos on devices though. So, all in all it was good.
Overall, it was a good stay. We had a good time and were able to rest sufficiently for the next day’s activities. I recommend this listing to others. We don’t usually visit the same area twice because there is so much of the state to see, but we would stay here again.

5/5 I have nothing but great things to say about the property. The pictures do not do the property justice. The house was beautiful and fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking. We will definitely be back

Wonderful!
5/5 We loved the privacy and quiet property for a short getaway this summer. Beds and furniture were very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the chairs on the deck to watch the sunset behind the mountains! Quick 15-20 minute drive to Fairplay for anything you need. Thank you for allowing us to bring our pets to truly enjoy our vacation as a family!
