We stayed at the house June 22-29 and we were very pleased with everything. The house itself was absolutely spotless and easily fit my family of 4. The king bed in the master bedroom is probably the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on in any rental we have ever had. Each of our 2 teenage sons had their own room and loved it. We utilized the "game room" downstairs more than I thought we would. We actually did not make use of the kitchen much outside of the coffee maker as we found many great options for food in Fairplay, but it seemed to have all the necessary pots, pans, and utensils.
The pictures of the views online do not do it justice. Pictures just cannot capture what you are seeing with your eyes. The view is simply stunning. We were there for 7 days and it never got old. Each morning the 14ers to the west would have different levels of cloud cover which would completely change the look and feel of the range. Every morning and evening we could see the local elk herd off in the distance grazing by the Platte River. Sometimes after the sun fully went down we could hear their bugle calls echoing up from the valley. We were also lucky enough that the phase of the moon and the clouds cooperated to allow us to have amazing views of the Milky Way on our last night there. We also thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening to all the Broad-tailed hummingbirds that are all over the trees surrounding the house.
Some comments have mentioned the dirt access road and driveway. The dirt road is really nothing more than that - a dirt/gravel road. For our experience in the summer, it was nothing crazy or dangerous. No high clearance or 4WD vehicle needed. Same for the driveway. It is definitely steep and is gravel. But again, it's nothing crazy or dangerous if you have an even remotely competent driver and vehicle. We had a Tahoe and I never once had to use 4WD to navigate either to road or driveway. I can see how it could get pretty sketchy in the winter without 4WD, though.
Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay at this exact house again if we ever find ourselves coming back to Fairplay.
Everything was amazing! Would highly recommend!!

I want to start off by saying that the pictures of the home due it no justice. I was a little confused on the layout by the pictures but once we arrived we fell in love. It was accommodating to our big family of 8 6 being kids.
Pros:
It’s a big home with plenty of space.
A lot to entertain the kids (pool table, air hockey and board games)
Clean and decorated enough to make it look nice but not over decorated to where I was worked the kids could damage something.
Kitchen was fully equipped.
Home has everything you need.
Cons:
You can’t change the temperature of the home it wasn’t horrible but two nights the temperatures dropped a lot and some parts of the home were really cold like the master bathroom it was freezing.
If you have kids there is no outdoor play space.
Wish it had an outdoor heater to help the cold if you would like to sit and drink some coffee on the beautiful porch.
We rented to spend Christmas here and wish they would have had a Christmas tree (personal opinion) for families coming for the holidays specially with children.
Be ware of the altitude sickness we got sick but that’s not the home owners fault just a friendly reminder, us Texans did get sick and it wasn’t fun.
Are overall experience was great I just want to leave an honest review. I would stay here again ❤️
P.s I also communicated with Aimee several times about different questions I had and she was very helpful and replied in a timely manner.
