  • Terrible Experience

    1/5

When we arrived we thought we were in the wrong place. It didn't look anything like the pictures because there was no more snow cover. There was junk everywhere on the surrounding property. The inside was not clean, there were barely any essentials provided, and there was no security since the lock didn't work. The "road" to the house was barely passable. We were supposed to stay two nights but left early the next morning. I called the owner but he never returned my call. I guess we paid dearly for the beautiful mountains around the property. I can't believe that VRBO is even associated with this place! What a disappointment!

    Manager's Response:

Hi Susan, we’re sorry to hear your experience didn’t meet expectations. We followed up with the owner regarding your concerns and would like to share the following:
    - Both the main entry and screen doors have functional locks, and guest safety remains a top priority.
    - The home is accurately represented in the listing, though seasonal differences, such as the absence of snow, can affect the appearance of the property and the surrounding area.
    - The home is professionally cleaned and stocked with essentials prior to your arrival. We regret that this did not meet your expectations.
    - The rural access road is typical for the area and maintained, though it may feel uneven; it helps contribute to the quiet, low-traffic setting.
We’re sorry we didn’t have the opportunity to address these concerns during your stay. Thank you again for your feedback; it helps us continue to improve.

Beautiful property, smell is overwhelming. I was glad we had only booked 1 night.

  • Smells like ammonia

    1/5

The bedrooms smelled strongly of what I’m assuming was cat urine. Everything looked dirty. It was a really uncomfortable stay. We wouldn’t have stayed the first night if we had anywhere else to go. It was so uncomfortable we didn’t get any sleep. We did not stay our second night.
