The property was quaint and easily accessed. The labelling on the property was very helpful to ensure that we knew how to keep everything up. The back door was a bit of a hassle to lock and the driveway had a dip that scraped the bottom of our vehicle repeatedly, regardless of how slow we approached it or from any angle, but the views were spectacular and the relative distance to everything we wanted to see was perfect. We highly recommend this location to anyone considering a visit to Colorado Springs in the Fall.

La casa está limpia pero si tú buscas algo más cómodo y bueno no es para ti , está muy antigua ,
Hi Gabriela, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- This charming house was built around 1904. Although we diligently maintain it, we have chosen to preserve its original charm rather than opting for modern updates.
- We use professional photos and detailed descriptions to ensure our properties are accurately represented, helping guests decide if the decor meets their expectations. We furnished the house with families in mind, selecting pieces for comfort and durability, while understanding that comfort is subjective.
- The location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and families with excellent hiking and biking trails nearby.

Such a nice place to stay. We used their wonderful kitchen the whole time we were there. My sister and I had traveled to Colorado to visit my son. He came to join us in this wonderful home. There is no air conditioning in this home which was not great since we came during a heat wave. However, there were so many fans in the house. By the time we opened all the windows and had the fans going it was quite comfortable. The upstair bedrooms have air conditioners which were helpful since it did get very hot upstairs. My one complaint is the location of the upstairs bathroom. It is located in one of the bedrooms. So that when that door is closed you cannot use the bathroom without waking the person sleeping inside. The other bathroom is located downstairs by the third bedroom. Which is problematic since the downstairs bedroom has no air conditioner or windows that open. In leaving the bedroom door open to circulate air anybody using the downstairs bathroom woke the person inside. The kitchen is amazing! We spent two night making wonderful meals. We were able to watch movies and relax in this wonderful home. I wish that we had been able to enjoy the beautiful yard but it was quite hot when we visited.

My wife loved this place. We had deer in the yard two days we stayed. Very clean and cozy. It was conveniently located near all the places we wanted to visit. I would return here again if we ever came back.
Easy to find, easy to get to attractions, do day trips (Cheyenne mountain zoo, royal gorge, Rockies) nice and quiet neighborhood, lots of wildlife. Please note that house is old and has its limitations. No dishwasher, only window ac’s up stairs. We didn’t use the shower downstairs after reviewing owners “instructions” on use as we didn’t want to leave a water ballet in the bathroom. Recommend owner to put some effort in renovating it. Would love to stay here again but not at the price we paid for.
