Nice, new house. Very comfortable and an excellent location near both downtown and South Main, and towards the end of a quiet street. Lots of nice windows and natural light, and the windows and ceiling fans helped cool the house down in the evenings (since no AC). The garbage cans didn't have bear straps and were knocked over twice, which we had to clean up. We hope the owners will bear-proof their trash ASAP! It was also a little bare bones during our stay. It would have been nice to have more bath towels upstairs, and more soap and toilet paper. Otherwise everything was great. We enjoyed our stay.

Please note:
When we couldn’t access the house, I could not reach you nor could evolve. It was getting dark quickly, and we decided to access the house the best that we could. Evolve did not offer us any other options except to wait until they could reach you. You need to give them the access code to your emergency lockbox. You also need to have a back up to access you if you’re traveling. It’s just not safe. My son changed the batteries for the lock to work.
The hot water stopped working on Tuesday. You mentioned this is too high water usage, that is not the case. Leading to this, we did one load of laundry, ran the dishwasher once and three out of four of us took a shower. We didn’t have hot water the remainder of the trip for Washing clothes, washing dishes, taking showers. The water is too freaking cold to take a full shower or bath. We genuinely resorted to sponge bathing the remainder of the trip.
Your trash bins are not bear proof and we had no option but to pick up the mess that we did not leave there. Broken glass, food, diapers, ect. That had been left there. Bear and baby cubs 3 nights I believe.
When we left we did as asked and put our trash in the outside bin. All other food we either put down the disposal or left in the fridge.
In general the house is hot and takes hours to cool off for comfortable sleeping. Even with all windows open. I know no AC is listed, but you truly need more options for cooling the house in the summer. It’s uncomfortable sleeping upstairs, and in the back bedroom, and for whatever reason air does not circulate through those windows enough to cool it. Each day we were gone most of the day and back in the evenings
I told evolve to ensure we were not held accountable for things that we came across while staying at the house last week; there are broken lights in the backyard landscaping, there is a rip in your living room couch, stains all over the kitchen chair cushions and the ice maker is loud. Sounds like the motor is going out. We turned it off at night. The rooms are missing controllers to the fans/light units. There’s something wrong with one of the windows in the downstairs bedroom. It does not open and close correctly as the others do.
At this price point, you should genuinely consider a higher level of hospitality; things such as coffee and usable personal care items in the bathrooms go along way.
Overall a fairly nice place although we caught them at a bad time. The washing machine broke which caused somewhat of a fiasco getting the house ready for us. When we entered, the bunk beds which are actually just two twin beds next to each other (not a bunk bed as advertised) had comforters that were visibly dirty. I did let the owner know who quickly had the cleaning lady come back and clean them. The rest of the house was fairly clean. The backyard was kind of a letdown. It's definitely not close to as advertised. Overgrown. Kind of a mess. The house was within walking distance of the main street in Buena Vista. Quiet location. Overall, not a bad place otherwise.
