This property was great, our group had an awesome time. The family room was a great size for board games without being crowded. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The property manager was very nice, helpful. The rooms were large and our 5 adults and 6 kids slept comfortably. Kitchen was nice and the provided utensils/cookware covered everything we needed. We loved the views and all the trees surrounding the property. Lots of good things to say about this property, we feel we got a great value for our stay.

Our experience was amazing. We had such a good time and had PLENTY of blankets, towels, and pillows. It has so much room and the views are amazing. The only complaint we have is the parking is kind of awkward!
Very nice and accommodating. Thank you and God bless.

The home is well stocked with pots and pans. We ran a little short on towels, as we could not find enough for each person in our party to have one. If you have a lot of people and are staying for the week like we did, you will need to bring extra toilet paper and paper towels. The couches all need to be replaced, the pool table is in need of new felt. We ended up driving to the closest Walmart and bought a pool stick just to be able to play as they were all broken. We were able to shoot pool and play ping pong while we were there after we purchased our own pool stick. Hot tub was clean and useable and the "hot tub" guy stopped in 1 day while we were there to check on it and refresh chemicals. Water pressure in lower level bathrooms left something to be desired and we noted water stains in lower level as well. To be honest, the worse part of this cabin is the access to get to the cabin through the snow. You are not able to park in the driveway unless you have 4x4. To get down to the door from the driveway was horrible. We had to treck through knee high snow up and down the hill. There was a place that may have been a path, but every person that stepped on it fell down. We had to lower my elderly father down the hill on a sled to get to the door which we tied a rope on because he could not just slide down. Fortunately I have innovative brothers that went out the next day and carved steps into the snow/ice so we had an easier time getting up and down the hill to our vehicles. Wood is not provided, which I expected, however there is a boiler that keeps the cabin very warm. You can purchase wood in town if you want. If you are coming in the winter, make sure you have a 4x4 vehicle or bring chains. We slid down the hill when we arrived and got stuck. Most neighbors flew past us while giving us dirty looks but we finally had a couple of people pull over and helped get us unstuck. We could not get good cell service to call anyone to assist us. I was able to text the manager, who is nice and gave me the number of a towing company but we could not call them. We received multiple threats from neighbors that they would have our vehicles towed for parking off the road, but not in the driveway and we were pulled completely off the road.

Robin, we're sorry your stay wasn't what you expected. The homeowners aim to make it a streamlined check-in experience and send guests a video with detailed directions on how to access the cabin. The situation with the snow described has never happened before. As alluded to in the review, it's necessary for all guests to have 4x4 vehicles to access the cabin. We understand the homeowner gave you free Wifi and accommodated your group with an early check-in. We can confirm that the issues you've mentioned have all been fixed. The owners worked very hard to get the cabin ready so you could have a pleasant stay around New Year's. The homeowners prioritize the guest experience and we look forward to hosting satisfied guests here moving forward. Best, the Evolve Team
Stayed here on a family Christmas vacation. Although we loved the private and secluded location of the home with fantastic views of the mountains, the home definitely lacked personal care and upkeep by the homeowner. The main floor was nice and allowed us to enjoy time all together in a cozy setting but it was very dark due to a number of primary light bulbs being burned out. We felt this minor upkeep detail was overlooked by the homeowner. The lower level (basement) definitely needed some upkeep and improvements. The bathrooms were dirty and were in subpar condition. The water pressure in one of the bathrooms was so poor water just dripped out of the sink faucet rendering it virtually unusable. The home has promise but appears to lack necessary care. Probably the biggest improvement needed is the entrance to the house area from the parking area. This is a very steep hill that became quite treacherous to walk down. Some type of steps would definitely solve this. Overall we were disappointed in the home.

Kevin, thank you for your review. This homeowner strives to provide all guests with a 5-star experience. When you asked to check-in early, all housekeepers were busy, so he personally went up to clean the property to be sure to accommodate your request. All sheets were clean and the hot tub was in shape. At a mountain cabin, it's possible that during the winter months some things can be affected by wear and tear, and this homeowner is in the process of repairing these small maintenance issues. Had you reached out during your stay, he would have been more than happy to address your concerns immediately. Thank you again for your feedback. Best, the Evolve Team
