  The rooms were clean, but in one of the rooms the bed was broken and the bed linen was torn. I contacted the owner and he took all the issues into account. The place is quiet and peaceful.

• Truckee trickle

  Communication with the Evolve team was fine, they were help. I was mostly disappointed with the house itself. Although there were two bathrooms, the shower in the master bathroom was barely a trickle so all ten of us ended up having to shower in the upstairs bathroom. The shower curtain in that restroom was moldy as well.

  We quickly ran out of toilet paper and the half roll of paper towel that they left out. Eventually I found the stash under the stairs. The kitchen drawers were loose so we had to be extra careful, especially when pulling out utensils because the sharp knives were there as well.

  On our last day, we cleaned up the house and all trash plus recyclables. But when we brought it down to the bear box, it was locked with no instructions on where to find the key. We had to drag all of our trash back up the slope and left it in the garage. When we had first checked in, there was already a bag of trash left there and now we know why.

  We still made great memories there but the house itself needs some more TLC.

  The house has a good distribution of rooms and it was close to where our friends would be staying so the overall combo of rooms and location made sense for us. However, our experience could have been better if the Wi-Fi info had been readily available which was not forcing us to contact the concierge via email and phone to finally have access to connection on the following day of our arrival. The kitchen floor was unfinished and the upstairs bathroom had poorly unfinished touch ups on the painting wall as well as a lot of mold. Lastly, the lamp bulbs from the living room were all disconnected making it very dark and unpleasant to hang around at night as we relied solely in the kitchen and breakfast nook bulbs to shed some light.

• Had a great stay with minimal issues

  Check in was very easy.Beds were comfortable. Master suite was huge. Perfect space for our 2 families.Only downsides were:-only one roll of paper towels for the whole stay (we ended up supplying ourself)-no hand soap in master bathroom-2 fans, 1 was broken and AC didnt seem to work too well (but we had exceptionally and abnormally hot weather the week we were there)Overall, would recommend!
