This is our first trip to the Lake Tahoe area in several years. We were traveling with our twin grandsons (age 6) and their parents. The house was the perfect fit for us. Large kitchen and living area. The deck is located off the dining area and has a bbq and hot tub so it is perfect for indoor outdoor living. A nice (no fee) beach is a short walk away. The Safeway grocery store is about a 10 minute drive and has everything you need to prepare meals. The village of Tahoe City is also only a few minutes by car. One day we all went rafting on the Truckee River, about 15 minutes by car.
The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The kids loved the bunkroom! It was great to have indoor laundry so we didn't have to leave with damp clothes and bathing suits. Bryan was our host and excellent to deal with. He texted a welcoming message before we arrived asking if we needed anything and explained all the check-in information. Once in the house there were plenty of instructions for everything from blinds to hot tub.
One word of caution. Do not leave food in your vehicle. There was a cooler left in the bed of one of our vehicles and the bears rummaged through it in the middle of the night. They didn't cause any real damage and the kids thought it was exciting:)
Would definitely stay here again when in the area!
This is a nice home in a very quiet neighborhood. The location near Tahoe City is great. Some things to keep in mind though. There is no primary bedroom or bathroom. The deck is large and faces south (lots of sun in the summer) but there is no shade (no umbrellas, no awning) and, oddly, no table on the deck. In the bathrooms they don't provide wash cloths or hand towels, only bath towels. The pressure in both showers is so intense you can barely stand under the water and there is no way to regulate it. The kitchen supplies are somewhat sparse: no platters, trays, small plates, small bowls, remekins, saucers, espresso cups, full size Cuisinart. The coffee mugs are a mish-mash with various logos from companies that presumably gave them away as swag. This is not a kitchen for serious cooking. Again, the house is nice but could use some basics.

Hi Michael, we're so glad you enjoyed the nice home, quiet neighborhood, and wonderful location near Tahoe City. We followed up with the homeowners after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Our listing photos and details accurately describe the accommodations, including the bedrooms and bathrooms. There's a designated primary bedroom that's larger and features a TV, a full closet set, and a large California king bed. The second bedroom has a queen bed, a standalone wall-mounted dresser, and a clothes hanging area, and it shares a full bathroom with the third bedroom, which offers children's bunk beds.
- Regarding the deck, you arrived just before we set up the table and umbrellas as the winter lingered longer this year. If you visit again, you'll find a deck table and two full-size umbrellas. We also have automated shades to help control the temperature on sunny days.
- We spoke with the cleaning team who confirmed that hand towels and washcloths were placed in each bathroom's drawers, which may have been overlooked. We strive to ensure all guests have a comprehensive set of linens, towels, and extras in case some need to be washed. The high pressure in the showers is known to be popular among guests, but we'll consider installing adjustable shower heads since preferences in pressure can vary.
- Our kitchen is well-stocked, as mentioned in previous reviews. We're serious chefs and hold cooking competitions here. We ensure it’s equipped with high-quality items, including everything you mentioned in your review except espresso cups, as we have a drip coffee maker. We offer a premium knife set sharpened every 6 weeks and two full dinner sets with platters, 24 plates, and bowls each. We also have a full-size Cuisinart with multiple attachments stored under the cabinets. Our coffee mugs are from local coffee shops in the Tahoe region. We wish you would've reached out so we could've guided you to where these items are stored. We'll be sure to share where to find these items with future guests and continue to stock the kitchen as cooking for the family is one of the best things to do in Lake Tahoe.
- We take great pride in our home and strive to offer a wonderful guest experience, and we're sorry your stay fell short of your expectations. As a gesture of hospitality, please reach out to Evolve for a discount code on a future stay at our home.
We appreciate your insights and are committed to ensuring our guests have the best possible experience. Thank you for taking the time to share your review.
Beautiful modern home with great lake views and an awesome deck.
We were a group of two parents with 6 mid-20s adults (our kids & their friends).
The bunk room has 4 Extra-Long twins which makes it a fine room for adults. We had 4 men all 6- 6'4 and they slept comfortably. The bunk room and it's attached bathroom do not receive the central heat so we used the electric space heaters to make it comfortable.
All the mattresses (including the king and the queen) were very comfortable and everyone slept well.
This group love to cook and every dish, gear, pot/pan needed was available. Super well stocked for a family/group. Salt/pepper/sugar and assorted other left over oils/sauces were available to use.
The large dining room easily sat us all for meals and game playing.
If you are going for skiing, the drive to Palisades/Alpine is easy. We were there on a holiday weekend. We recommend you plan to leave at least an hour before the lifts open and know that the resorts are now often requiring reservations for parking. If you wait to head to the mountain till 10, then the drive is 20 min.
This house has great access to the Tahoe cross country center which has many miles of groomed winter Nordic skiing and extensive summer mountain biking/hiking.
The hot tub was beautifully clean and warm. It does not latch shut on all sides so blows open.
This location is perfect and had no issues. Very clean and cozy home! We will definitely come back! The house is fully equipped!
