  The place was exactly as advertised. A few small details could have been shared in the listing, but I was able to easily get them cleared up by the host. Great location, quiet neighborhood, even the neighbors were friendly.

  The Place:

  This is a newly renovated cabin with one big open space on the top floor for living, dining and kitchen, along with a small bathroom, and two bedrooms on the bottom floor carved into the hillside.

  Everything inside was still new and tastefully decorated, and fairly comfortable.

  The kitchen was easy to use, with plenty of plates and cups, along with cooking tools.

  It was a bit too cold for us to use the balcony, but the view is of a neighbor's roof downhill, and lots of tree tops.

  Note that there is no washing machine in the house. Instead there were two laundry bags, one in each room, but no direction on where to bring them.

  The Area:

  Lake Arrowbear is a small village halfway between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear, with the slightly bigger town of Running Springs just 5 minutes away.

  The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, with the SB National Forest just a 5 minute walk away to the west or north.

  Houses on both sides seem to be occupied year-round, but were very quiet save for an occasional barking dog.

  The Stay:

  We almost couldn't find the house at first because it's a few steps down from the streets, so the roof line is at eye level.

  The directions to get in were very clear, but I wished there had been some directions on how to use the space heaters.

  We needed a 4th towel, but all the extras were in a padlocked closet (eventually we were able to pull one through a crack).

  The host didn't respond to texts, but e-mails were quick.

• Absolutely great stay!

  This house was perfect for a weekend getaway! It was so cozy, extremely cute, clean space, and everything that you could need from smart TVs in all the rooms, stocked with all kitchen utensils, to an assortment of boardgames. It was a 25 minute drive from the lake. The owner was attentive when needed and even let us have a late check out which is perfect! Would definitely stay again.
