Family Winter Trip
4/5 This cabin was booked for an adult family trip. I was looking for a nice place that offered multiple spaces for us to spread out or come together and it didn't disappoint on that! There are many good qualities this cabin had to offer, and the design was very comfortable. The host was good about texting back. My biggest disappointment was the lack of cleanliness. I have to admit, my family's cleanliness standards are high so keep that in mind as I list the pros and cons.
Overall our stay was lovely and we enjoyed our time at the cabin.
PROS
-Styled nicely, modern and comfortable, not cluttered
-Well equipped (kitchen items, heaters, vacuum)
-Ample pillows and blankets
-Layout good for families, multi-level, 2 family rooms to hang out in
-Game room (card table, board games, things for kids to play, lots of options)
-Multiple TVs (it was nice to have TV options for those to watch different things)
CONS
-Cleanliness (kitchen, bathrooms, cobwebs, vacuuming needed, sofa stains in main living room) needs major deep cleaning! The kitchen sink sponges that were left for us to use were filthy, I bought my own. I know cabins collect dust quicker than the norm, but this was excessive.
-Stove/oven was very temperamental, turning it on was not instant
-Cold in bedrooms and downstairs/game room (we needed the heaters provided)
-Can’t control house temperature without contacting the host
-Recycle trash piled up against the house outside (looks like it hasn't not been picked up in weeks)
